Towards the end of the book, when Ames lost his job and was evicted, he came to live with Sydney's family.

When he had stayed for so long and had not yet found a new job, Sydney's parents told him he had to leave. That night, when Sydney tried to sneak out to go met Layla and Mac, Ames attacked her and tried to kiss her before her father dragged him off of her.

Answer: Brilliant or Catastrophic

Eric, Mac, and Ford were in a band together. Originally, the name of the band was Hey Dude, but when their music began to go in a different direction, they decided to change the name. Eric, who was a bit of a music snob, wanted the name to have the perfect mix of irony and meaning. In the end, they ended up with Brilliant or Catastrophic.
