The story takes place in Tharios. Some of the story happens in the tourist district, Khapik, where it is said everyone in Tharios goes eventually.

Kethlun Warder had an accident while he was blowing glass. His magic escaped him and drew in all loose power from the surrounding area. The surge of magic is what brought Tris to him.

Answer: Glass Dragon

The Glass dragon that Keth created and then tried to kill became Tris's pet. They soon found out that the dragon threw up/fired out little glass charms which could be sold.
