Alan Pangborn was one of the few people who did not buy anything from Leland Gaunt. Needless to say, he was the only person immune to Gaunt's spell.

Answer: Riding the Bullet

All four of these titles are unique...
"Riding the Bullet" was originally published in 2000 as an e-book, "Blood and Smoke" was released in 1999 as an audio book, "The Green Mile" was published in 1996 as a serial novel, and "Storm of the Century" was released in 1999 as a screenplay.
NOTE: Stephen King also had a serial e-book called "The Plant", but that concept died in 2001.
