1. Why did Cadderly leave Shilmista?

Answer: Because he wanted to run away from the fighting

After the deaths of Barjin and Ragnor at Cadderly's hands and after discovering his new power, Cadderly had too much on his mind and couldn't keep on fighting, so he decided to go to Carradoon, away from all that.
2. Who sent the assassin band known as the Night Masks after Cadderly?

Answer: Aballister

Aballister, Cadderly's father wasn't too happy because Cadderly had ruined his plans for conquest twice: the first time when Barjin tried to bring down the Library using the Chaos Curse and the second when Ragnor tried to conquer Shilmista, so he sent the Night Masks after his own son. Dorigen is Aballister's second in comand, Bogo Rath is his third and Ghost is the leader of the party sent to kill Cadderly.
3. Which wizard from castle Trinity was sent along with the Night Masks to kill Cadderly?

Answer: Bogo Rath

Aballister paid the Night Masks to take Bogo along with them. Tintagel is an elven wizard protecting Shilmista and whose life is saved by Cadderly (Cadderly actually mends a wound so serious that most of the priests at the Edificant Library would have trouble curing and that would have surely killed Tintagel).
4. What's the name of the inn where Caderly stays during his time in Carradoon?

Answer: The Dragon's Codpiece

Later in the book Danica, Rufo, Avery and the dwarves go to that inn to meet up with Cadderly. Last Home is a inn in Solace, Krynn it has nothing to do with "Forgotten Realms" or R.A. Salvatore the other two are inns from Athkatla, Amn near the Sword Coast, far from the Snowflake Mountains.
5. The Ghearufu, the evil artifact used by Ghost composed of a white glove, a black glove and a mirror has the ability to make the user's spirit switch to another body?

Answer: Yes

To kill his victims, Ghost would switch to their body and use it to kill them while they where in his body. After he killed them, he would use a ring with regenerative powers to heal his body and the Ghearufu to return to it.
6. What was the name of the firbolg that was with the Night Masks?

Answer: Vander

Ghost used Vander to kill his victims if needed and to escape from dangerous situations by switching bodies with him. When Vander tried to escape Ghost and return to his homeland and to his family in the Spine of the World, Ghost used Vander's body to kill Vander's family so, in fear of happening something like that again, Vander was forced to do Ghost's bidding.
7. How many Night Masks were with Ghost?

Answer: 20

In the end, they all died.
8. Kirkan Rufo betrayed Cadderly and his friends and in the end of the book was given the brand of Deneir.

Answer: True

The brand of Deneir is craved into the forehead of people who went against the principles of Deneir to warn other people that the branded ones are not to be trusted, it is a way to exile them from the society. If they try to cover up the brand, it will sink deaper into their skin, eventually reaching their brain causing them to die a very slow and painful death.
9. On to the fourth book now: "The Fallen Fortress". What is Cadderly's main objective in the journey he and his friends make in this book?

Answer: To destroy the Ghearufu

He tells his friends that they are going to Castle Trinity to kill Aballister and to put an end to the evil brought upon the region. What he doesn't tell them is that, before they do that, he must destroy the Ghearufu and the evil it has brought for hundreds if not thousands of years and, to do that, he would have to go on a quest from which he was not sure he would return.
10. Which of these characters does not accompany Cadderly on his journey?

Answer: Elbereth

Danica and the dwarves follow Cadderly almost every where. Shayleigh goes to ensure that what happened in Shilmista in the second book doesn't happen again and Vander goes because he has a debt of gratitude towards Cadderly.
11. Does Ghost have an appearance in the fourth book?

Answer: Yes

The power of the Ghearufu makes Ghost rise from his grave and become an undead. The Ghearufu then calls to him to prevent Caddery from destroying it.
12. Who destroys the Ghearufu?

Answer: Fyrentennimar

Cadderly uses a spell to alter the red dragon Fyrentennimar(Fyren)'s personality and persuades him to destroy the evil artifact. Aballister and Dorigen are at Castle Trinity, hundreds of miles from the dragon's lair when the Ghearufu is destroyed.
13. Who kills Fyren?

Answer: Vander

Cadderly uses a spell to protect himself from the dragon's fire, another one to prevent the dragon from using his claws or any other part of his body to attack him or any of the others and a third to make Fyren younger, smaller and weaker making it easy for Vander to chop the dragon's head off with his sword. Shayleigh, Danica and the dwarves also played roles in that battle but it was Vander that struck the death blow on Fyren.
14. Which two creatures did Aballister send to kill Cadderly and his friends?

Answer: A manticore and a chimera

A manticore is a monster with the body and head of a lion, with wings and with a deadly tail. A chimera is a monster with three heads: a lion, a goat and an eagle, with the body of a lion, the wings of an eagle and a serpent for a tail. These two monsters, along with the black dragon and the hidra, were created by Aballister. The other monsters are not mentioned in this book.
15. Dorigen helps Cadderly get to Aballister.

Answer: True

Dorigen was getting tired of all the fighting and wanted it to stop, so she decided to help Cadderly. First she doesn't tell Aballister the real location of Cadderly's party, then she tell's Cadderly the password that would allow him to access Aballister's chambers in Castle Trinity.
16. What is the spell that Cadderly uses to kill his father, Aballister?

Answer: He opens the ground beneath Aballister and closes it when his father falls in

All the other spells are more frequently used by mages than by priests although priest can also use fire, lightning and acid spells ("Melf's acid arrow" is a spell used only by mages and sorcerors that was created by a mage named Melf).
17. That's it for the fourth book. Now on to the fifth book: "The Chaos Curse". What happens to Rufo when he drinks the Chaos Curse?

Answer: All of the these.

Vampires are stronger, faster and more agile than humans or any other of the goodly races. Vampires are also one of the most powerful forms of the undead so, in order to become a vampire, the would-be-vampire must first die.
18. What are the last words said by Rufo while he was alive?

Answer: You invited me in

Vampires can only enter an house if they are invited to do so by someone who lives in that house, when he was about to die he felt the changes inside him, he understood that he was becoming a vampire and he saw the error Dean Thobicus had comited in inviting him into the Eddificant Library.

The last words Rufo said were "I deny Deneir" but he said those words after becoming a vampire, so he was no longer alive when he said it. The other two were just made up.
19. Who doesn't return to the Edificant Library back from their journey to Castle Trinity?

Answer: Vander

Vander decides to go back to the Spine of the World mountains, back to his home. Dorigen decides to return with Cadderly and the others to the Library to face punishment for her acts against Shilmista. Cadderly and the dwarves don't go directly to the Library but meet Danica and Shayleigh there latter.

Answer: She burns herself with a fireball

She and Danica were completly surrounded by zombies and vampires so, to save Danica, Dorigen decides to sacrifice herself and incinerates the whole room she's in.

Answer: The undead

Rufo started changing those who he could change into vampires, those he couldn't change because they refused to be changed and held on to their faith till the moment of their deaths, were killed and their corpses were animated turning them into zombies.

Answer: False

In one of the rooms of the Library, brother Chaunticleer still held on to his faith and kept praying to his gods using his melodies as a ward against evil, preventing that room from being taken by Rufo.

Answer: She makes him believe that she's dead

Answer: Cadderly destroyed it

The Library was too tainted by evil to be again what it once was, a building to honor Deneir ond Oghma, so Cadderly decided to destroy it and build a cathedral in its place.
25. What's the name Cadderly gives to the cathedral that he starts to build in the end of this book?

Answer: Spirit Soaring

He gives part of his lifeforce and his youth to the construction of the Spirit Soaring but Deneir gives him that back latter. It is the place where Drizzt and Cadderly meet for the first time in "Passage to Dawn".
