Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who does Kring belong to?

Answer: Hrun

Kring was a magical talking sword that forced Rincewind to try and save Twoflower and Hrun the Barbarian.
2. When Rincewind suddenly found himself on a plane, he found he was Swedish, his name was "Dr. Rjinswand" and he was raised in New Jersey, but how old was he?

Answer: Thirty-three

He was also a "specialist in breakaway oxidation phenomena of certain nuclear reactors". Twoflower was known as "Jack Zweiblumen".
3. True or false: Rincewind successfully communicated to Twoflower in the language called "Vanglemesht".

Answer: False

Although he tried to speak to Twoflower in Vanglemesht, as well as in "High Borogravian", "Sumtri" and "Black Oroogu", the only language that was successful was "Trob".
4. Who was the Guestmaster in Krull?

Answer: Garhartra

Marchesa is a Krullian, though she is not the Guestmaster, the Great Nef isn't a person, and Tethis is a sea troll.
5. What number must no-one utter whilst in Bel-Shamharoth's temple?

Answer: Eight

Alas, someone did, and things went a bit violent.
6. Does the character of Death feature at all within this novel?

Answer: Yes

Death is in almost all the "Discworld" books, and is a superb character.
7. What did Rincewind decide "picturesque" meant?

Answer: The landscape was "horribly precipitous"

Rincewind had decided this, as he had also decided that "quaint" meant "fever-ridden and tumbledown". The other two phrases do occur in the book, but the "white as sycamore" quote was about the Luggage's teeth, not a forest.
8. Who/What is "Ghlen Livid"?

Answer: A type of drink

It is a type of "fermented vul nut drink", apparently.
9. Who designed the "Potent Voyager"?

Answer: Goldeneyes Silverhand Dactylos

His eyes were gold spheres and he had a silver hand. After designing the "Potent Voyager", he was killed.
10. What is the colour of magic?

Answer: Octarine

This is the eighth colour of the rainbow, and can be seen by wizards, witches and various anthropomorphic personifications (eg. Death). It seems to be a sort of greenish-purple.
