Answer: Stone mason

He was a hard-working mason, trying to live a quiet, ordinary life.
2. The man in the bar had a manila envelope full of money intended for the hired killer. How much money was in the envelope?

Answer: $10,000

Also in the envelope was a picture of a woman, as well as an address of where to find her.
3. What was the name of the woman who was slated to be killed in this novel?

Answer: Linda Paquette

Although this wasn't the name she was born with, Linda changed her name to Paquette as she was growing up.
4. When Tim followed the real killer out of the bar, he thought he had discovered what the man's profession was. What did it seem to be?

Tim saw the killer put a flashing detachable emergency light on top of his car.

Over and over again, Koontz described Krait as being stuck, staring at his reflection. He seemed to believe there was another world on the opposite side of the mirror, where possibly time would move backward.

Yes, in the end he had a rather interesting conversation with the President. They even drank a few beers while watching the sun set.
