The Lord of the Rings - Character Rhymes Quiz

Answer: Aragorn

Aragorn died on the first of March 1541 at the age of 200. When he died, Arwen left Gondor and went to Lothlorien where she first met Aragorn. There, she died. Never was there a tale more sad than that of Arwen and Aragorn.

Answer: Gimli

When Aragorn died, Legolas built a grey ship and passed over the sea on it. It is said that Gimli accompanied Legolas on that ship. "And when that ship passed an end was come in Middle-Earth to the Fellowship of the Ring".

Answer: Theoden

It may surpise you, but Theoden is actually seventeen years younger than Aragorn. This is because Aragorn lives for much longer than the average man, as his ancestors were from Numenor.

The Witch King is the Lord of the Nazgul and is Sauron's most malicious servant. He was once a man; but he was corrupted by one of the nine rings of power. It was foretold that the Witch King could not be killed by the hand of any man.

Answer: Sauron

Sauron was Morgoth's Liutenant in the war of the Silmaril's, which is a war that happened thousands of years before "The Lord of the Rings". The book "The Silmarilion" by J.R.R Tolkien tells the story of this war and what happened before and after it. I highly recommend reading it if you have not.

Answer: Arwen

Arwen is said to be as beautiful as the Elven Princess Luthien, who was said to be the most beautiful elf to walk the Earth. In "The Lord of the Rings", Arwen is torn in two, as her father wishes her to leave "Middle Earth" and go to the Undying Lands, but she wishes to stay and be with Aragorn.

Answer: Smeagol

Smeagol was once not so different from a hobbit, but when he killed his friend Deagol to get the ring, it prolonged his life and so over the years he changed into a wretched gangly creature. He lived under the Misty Mountains and did not leave them until the One Ring was taken from him by Bilbo Baggins.

Answer: Elrond

Elrond is one of the wisest beings in "Middle Earth" and is the keeper of the Elven Ring Vilya; the other two are in the keeping of Galadriel and Gandalf. As well as Elrond's daughter Arwen, he has two sons: Elladan and Elrohir.

Answer: Peregrin Took

Peregrin and his friend Merry are the two main comic relief characters in "The Lord of the Rings". Peregrin is a soldier of Gondor and goes back to Gondor to live out the last remaining years of his life.
