1. Let's start easy, was "The Testament" released before or after "The Brethen"?

Answer: Before

"The Testament" is John Grisham's ninth book. If you are a true fan like me you have probably noticed that this book is a bit different from the previous ones.

2. For once the main story does not take place in a big city courtroom. What is the name of the area where the main character is hiding?

Answer: The Pantanal

It is a region of Brazil. Actually John Grisham went there twice and was quite impressed. He travelled on a boat too and, that's what he says, he can remember it growing smaller. Now we know how he managed to describe this part of the world with so many details.

3. The story starts with the death of one of the richest men in the world. Troy Phelan died on Monday, ______ 9th, 1996.

Answer: December

Troy Phelan has a fortune worth eleven billion dollars (give or take). His money is so huge that given to the wrong people it can create chaos. Now a lot of people are going to fight to get a part of it, including a bunch of greedy lawyers...

4. Now let's get into the family matters: How many families did Troy Phelan have?

Answer: Three

Troy was very keen on women and couldn't help but fooling around with his secretaries. He got married three times and had six children. Then Rachel was born out of wedlock.

He jumped out of the window on December 9th, 1996 and it was written in his will to "keep it confidential until January 15th, 1997". What he wanted was to leave time for his children to spend the money they would never get and lead them into trouble.

Answer: He had cancer

He wanted people to think that he was very ill so that he could cheat his children. If they believed he was going to die, they would have no objection to the psychiatrists, and no clue as for the real reason of their presence. It was indeed very mean and cruel!

It's "World Tribes Missions". She worked with an Ipica tribe for eleven years, teaching the Bible, and seemed very happy that way. She didn't want to have anything to do with the money.

He has been married twice, been a terrible father because of work, drugs and alcohol, haven't seen his four kids for ages. Yet thanks to Rachel -and rehab- he is starting a new life.

This time, he really enjoyed his trip and started to think about his new life. He was then out of job, with a lot of serious financial problems back home so this trip was a way to be at peace for another few days. And also, he missed Rachel...
