Answer: Argilac the Arrogant

Argilac was the last of House Durrandon. In the battle known as the Last Storm, he was slain in single combat by Orys Baratheon, who took his daughter as wife and the arms and words of House Durrandos as his. From that day on the Baratheons have ruled the Storm Lands from the mighty fortress known as Storm's End.

Answer: Torrhen Stark

Torrhen Stark led a host of 30000 men against Aegon. When he reached the northern bank of Trident he saw that a host half again as large as his was waiting for him and along with it were the three Dragons. Remembering the fate of Harrenhall and the tales of Field of Fire, he laid the crown of Kings of Winter on Aegon's feet. Because of this, he was remembered forever as the King Who Knelt.

Answer: Yellow Toad of Dorne

Princess Nymeria, the 80 year old ruler of Dorne, was fat, blind and bald but her wits were still sharp. When Rhaenys Targaryen demanded that she kneel she famously replied, "You may burn us, my lady but you will not bend us, break us or make us bow."

Answer: Meraxes

Meraxes died at Hellholt in Dorne, when she took an arrow shot by a scorpion in the eye. She died along with Queen Rhaeyns. In the next two years, Aegon and Visenya set ablaze every town and fort in Dorne. These years are known as the Dragon's Wroth.

Answer: 101 AC

Great Council of 101 AC was called by King Jaehaerys the Conciliator to determine the heir to the Iron Throne because there were too many Targaryens. Two of his heirs, Prince Aemon and Prince Balon the Brave had already died and to settle this matter once and for he called a Great Council. It named Prince Viseys, the eldest son of Balon, the heir to Iron Throne.

Answer: Prince of Dragonstone

The heir apparent to the Iron Throne is given Dragonstone as his/her personal seat. He/she is officially known as Prince/Princess of Dragonstone. Aenys I Targaryen (son of Aegon the Conqueror and second Targaryen King) was the first to hold this title, while Rhaegar Targaryen was the last to hold it.

After the War of Usurper, the official rule of this title ended along with the Targaryen rule. Dragonstone was given to Stannis Baratheon (Robert's younger brother) as his personal seat. He was known he Lord of Dragonstone.

Answer: Mushroom

Mushroom was a dwarf three feet tall with a large head and (according to him) a large member. He was thought a lackwit; thus, the important members of court spoke freely in his presence. His book "The Testimony of Mushroom" is filled with the tales of the court during the days when he was at court.

Answer: Dance of Dragon

Viserys had named Rhaenyra Targaryen his heir (despite the decrees of the Great Coucnil of 101 AC which always placed a man over a woman) but after his death his queen Alicent crowned her son Aegon II. That resulted in the bloodiest war ever.

Answer: Blood and Cheese

After Rhaenyra's son Lucerys and his dragon Arrax were killed by Prince Aemond One-Eye upon Vhagar (nine years after Lucerys had taken out Aemonds' eye), Prince Daemon Targaryen wrote to Dragonstone, "An eye for an eye, a son for a son. Lucerys shall be avenged." He hired a killer, through his once-paramour Mysaria, to kill one of Aegon's son. Once inside the castle he asked the King's wife, which of her sons would die.

She chose the youngest, Maelor, but Blood and Cheese (his true name is not known) killed Jaehaerys.

Answer: Sunfyre

Sunfyre the Golden is described in Archmaester Gyldayn's history as
"the most beautiful dragon that ever soared the skies of Westeros".
He and his rider were crippled by Princess Rhaenys and her she-dragon, Red Queen. He survived that fight, but later died on Dragonstone due to wounds given to him by the young dragon Moondancer, the mount of Baella, the daughter of Prince Daemon Targaryen.

Answer: Vhagar

Vhagar was the the mount of Queen Visenya Targaryen during the Conquest. During the Dance of Harrenhall, the duel between Prince Aemond on Vhagar and Prince Daemon on Caraxes, Vhagar and Ceraxes died along with Aemond and Daemon.

Answer: Daeron the Young Dragon

King Daeron the Young Dragon (son of Aegon III) accomplished what even Aegon the Conqueror wasn't able to, he conquered Dorne. He divided his host into three parts. One part led by him went through Boneway, another led by Lord Tyrell went through the Prince's Pass, while the royal fleet under the command of Alyn Velaryon entered Dorne through sea.

At the Submission of Sunspear, the Lord Martell and other powerful lords of Dorne bent their knees to Young Dragon. Daeron left Lord Tyrell in command of Dorne.

This conquest, however, didn't last long. Lord Tyrell was murdered at Sandstone in a bed of scorpions, and the Dornishmen rebelled. This forced Young Dragon to return to Dorne. This time the Dornsihmen decided to finish this once and for all; they murdered King Daeron beneath the peace banner.

His brother King Baelor the Blessed was crowned afterwards.

Answer: Ser Aegor Rivers

Aegor's mother was some Bracken lady while Bloodraven's mother was some Blackwood lady, this resulted in eternal rivalry between them. After the failure of the first Blackfyre rebellion Bittersteel along with the remaining sons of Daemon Blackfyre fled to the Free Cities.

Answer: Raven's Teeth

Brynden Rivers was known as "bloodraven" because he had a winestain birthmark that resembled a raven. It was his private guard of archers called the Raven's Teeth that killed Daemon Blackfyre on the Redgrass Field. After he was killed, there was a duel between Bloodraven and Bittersteel that resulted in the loss of an eye of Bloodraven as well as the fleeing of Bitterstell.

Answer: Ser Duncan the Tall

Ser Duncan the Tall later became the Lord Commander of Kingsguard in the days of Aegon the Unlikely who was known as "Egg". Egg had squired for Ser Duncan in the past.

Answer: Ser Barristen Selmy

Maelys the Monstrous was the last of the male line of House Blackfyre. In the war of the Ninepenny Kings, he was killed at Stepstone by Ser Barristen Selmy who was a young Knight at that time. After his death the remaining host of Ninepenny Kings fell back.

Answer: Lord Tywin Lannister

Tywin, Steffon and Aerys Targaryen were close friends when they were pages at King's Landing. In the war of Ninepenny Kings, Tywin fought as a knight while Steffon and Aerys were squires. After the war, it was Ser Tywin Lannister who made Aerys Targaryen a Knight. Tywin Lannister later became the youngest Hand of the King at the age of 20.

Answer: Ser Aegor Rivers

Ser Aegor Rivers, also known as Bittersteel, went to Essos after the failure of the First Blackfyre Rebellion. In Essos he gathered other exiled lords and descendants and formed the Golden Company. After Bittersteel, descendants of Daemon Blackfyre led the Golden Company.

The battle cry of Golden Company is, "Beneath the gold, the bitter steel."

Answer: Darklyn

Lord Daenys Darklyn, the Lord of Dukendale, wanted to get autonomy from the crown so that the town might prosper again. He invited King Aerys to Duskendale and there he arrested him. Lord Tywin, the Hand of the King, laid siege to the town but Lord Darklyn announced that if any attempt to storm his walls was made he would kill King Aerys.

In the end, Ser Barristen Selmy secretly entered the town to bring Aerys out.

Answer: Ser Jaime Lannister

When Aerys learned that Rhaegar had been killed at Trident, he told his hand Rossart to set patches of wildfire throughout King's Landing. He meant to set the city ablaze so that "Robert would be king over ashes and bones". When Tywin Lannister entered the city and declared for Robert, then Aerys set this plan to working.

He ordered Rossart to set the city ablaze, but Jaime first killed Rossart and then Aerys, thereby killing the last Targaryen king.
