Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. According to Adrian in "The Cuppucino Years", what was the final straw in his and Jojo's relationship?

Answer: her exhibitionist sneezing

Meeting through the restaurant Savage's, owned by crazy aristocrat Peter Savage, Adrian and Jojo, a 6-foot tall Nigerian, married after a short courtship. A child, William, resulted from this union, and Adrian details his birth, ending with his catching the afterbirth in a child's fishing net!
2. Ivan Braithewaite is described as "The _____ of menswear"

Answer: Pompeii

Cuckholding his wife Tania, and betraying his daughter Pandora, Ivan risks all to be with Pauline Mole, the middle-aged, saggy and discontented mother of Rosie and Andrian. Once a member of the socialist party of Leicester, he now runs a co-op dairy in the outdoor chalet his ex-wife built for him in their immaculate, expansive garden.
3. What is the name of Pandora's first husband?- "Adrian Mole, the Wilderness Years"

Answer: Julian Twyselton-Fife

Pandora, wanting to get the first marriage out of the way, was married to Julian in a small ceremony at Oxford University. As a favour he accepted, but displayed his homosexual tendencies to all, often mimicking Sebastian from "Brideshead Revistited". Adrian eventually resides in their college box room, but is kicked out once Pandora discovers lewd literature he has written about her.
4. Bianca, the newsagency girl, is a trained what?

Answer: Engineer

Bianca, the eager, overly trained newsagency girl, quickly falls for the anally retentive Adrian. But just as quickly as she falls for him, she moves onto Martin Muffet, Pauline Mole's second husband, who is 23 years her junior. They move and begin an engineering company, Dartington and Muffet.
5. Sharon Bott names her youngest child _____ after the place it had been conceived.

Answer: Caister

The one-time girlfriend of Adrian finds herself in a compromising position in "The Cuppucino Years". Unmarried, with a rat of a partner and numerous children, she discovers that her 12-year-old son Glenn is actually Adrian's! He moves in with William and Adrian, and quickly becomes part of the family.
6. To whom did Adrian once refer as "Johnny" and "rather scruffy"?

Answer: John Tydeman

Throughout his life, as a juvenile writer of poetry and fiction, and as an amateur adult author, Adrian turns to the guiding advice of radio 3 voice, John Tydeman. Originally encouraging, but soon discovering that Adrian had in fact no talent, he writes back encouraging, sometimes brutal letters of critical thought.
7. What was Adrian's principal's name?

Answer: "Pop eye" Scruton

Once, on a suicidal teenage attack of "nihilism", Adrian addressed a letter to his principal, openly naming him "Pop eyed Scruton". He also wrote letters to Pandora, Barry Kent (whose gang he was part of at the time), his family, and Sally, a girl with whom he believed a relationship was about to blossom.
8. Name the old age pensioner that Adrian is assigned to through a good Samaritans program.

Answer: Bert Baxter

Through a good Samaritans program at school, Adrain meets the lonely communist Bert Baxter and his wolfhound Sabre. This fateful union exists for almost 15 years, until Bert dies at the age of 105, one day before his 106th birthday in a freak chair lift accident.
9. Who will show "everything" for a pound of grapes?

Answer: Sharon Bott

Poor old Sharon. Delt a bad hand by fate, she is smoldering and overly sexual as a teenager, resulting in numerous illegitimate children and abusive, rat-faced partners. She finds solace in the arms of Douggie, until he "does a runner with the girl from the video shop".
10. Who runs the local youth club, and what is his girlfriend's name?

Answer: Rick Lemon and Titania (Tit)

Once slipping on water from a "French letter which Pandora helpfully burst with her badge pin", Rick Lemon is somewhat a mentor to the adolescents of Leicester. Guiding them through teenage hood, having Christmas dances and heading expeditions, this is a man truly overlooked by mole fans.

His girlfriend, the hairy-legged Titania, is a zealous feminist and will not buy vegtables that resemble phallic objects, i.e cucumbers, because they represent "the enslavement of women".
