1. Which king did Curunír hold under his sway?

Answer: Théoden

Curunír was the elvish name for Saruman of the Istari. It literally means "Man of Skill". Saruman held Théoden King under his sway for many years, poisoning his mind through Grima Wormtongue. Théoden was saved by Gandalf, and thus began Saruman's power to wane.
2. Name the keeper of the havens of Mithlond, wielder of the ring of Narya:

Answer: Cirdan

Círdan the shipwright was the founder and keeper of the Grey Havens of Mithlond. Gifted with foresight, he welcomed the Istari to the Middle Earth and percieved that Gandalf was the mightiest of the five. He gave Gandalf his ring, the Red Ring of Narya, a ring he had recieved from Celebrimbor. Círdan left the Middle Earth sometime in the Fourth Age, in the very last ship out of Mithlond.
3. Where was Isildur's third son, Ciryon, slain?

Answer: the Gladden fields

Ciryon was Isildur's youngest son to take part in the wars, as Valandil was only 21 when Isildur and his three eldest sons were slain. Ciryon was slain in the battle of the Gladden fields with his brothers, and Isildur while he attempted to escape in the Anduin River.
4. Which steward of Gondor rewarded the Rohirrim with the land of Calenardhon for their valour in battle?

Answer: Cirion

When Cirion was plagued by the Balchoth, he called for aid from the horse-lords of the North. In return for their help, especially in the battle of the Field of Celebrant, Cirion awarded Eorl the Young with the land of Calenardhon (later known as Rohan). Cirion was the twelvth steward of Gondor.

Celeborn was Lord of Lórien, with Galadriel as his wife. His daughter Celebrían was wife of Elrond. After the loss of Amroth, they ruled the kingdom of Laurelindórenan, Lothlórien, or as it was known at the end of the Third Age, Lórien.

Castamir led his followers aginst the rightful king Eldacar, on the pretense that Eldacar carried only half-Gondorian blood. Castamir succeeded in ruling Gondor for 10 long years until Eldacar raised an army of his own and reclaimed the throne for himself. Castamir's descendants are the Corsairs of Umbar, eternal enemies of Gondor.
7. Both Ciryaher and Ciryandil were Ship-kings of Gondor?

Answer: True

Ship-king was a title given to four Kings of Gondor, signifying their military strength at sea. The last Ship-king was Ciryaher, who avenged his father, Ciryandil the third Ship-king, who died at the hands of the Haradrim. Ciryaher took the name Hyarmendacil, meaning "Victor of the South". Ciryaher brought Gondor to the height of its power.
8. Who was the thirtieth king of Gondor, son of Narmacil II, and his avenger?

Answer: Calimehtar

Narmacil II was defeated and slain at the hands of the Wainriders of the East. Calimehtar managed to beat them back at Dagorlad, although they remained a threat for many years. His son, Ondoher, suceeded him, and after him, only two more kings would rule Gondor until King Elessar. Calimehtar's rule was not a quiet time, as the Wainriders gave him much trouble.

Answer: Celebrimbor

Grandson of Fëanor the skilled, the Lord of Eregion was the mightiest of the jewel-smiths. He forged the three elven-rings of power but was seduced by Annatar, a guise of Sauron, into making other rings of power. When Sauron was revealed, the elven-rings were hid. Celebrimbor is also mentioned as the maker of the runes on the gate to Moria.
10. Which of the following is not one of the sons of Fëanor?

Answer: Celebrimbor

Celegorm, Caranthir and Curufin were all sons of Fëanor, and all three died in the attack on the halls of Menegroth, trying to wrest the first Silmaril from Dior Eluchil, Thingol's heir. Celebrimbor was son of Curufin, and as skilled as Fëanor, especially with jewels.
