According to Stephenie, Edward's father was a lawyer in Chicago. He died of Spanish influenza.

2. Emmett was born in what year and in what state?

Answer: 1915 in Tennessee

Rosalie saved him from being mauled by a bear in the Appalachian Mountains, near Gatlinburg Tennessee where he was born in 1915. She saved him in 1935 and Carlisle changed him for Rosalie. She liked him because he reminded her of Vera's baby Henry (her best friend in Rochester, NY).

3. Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, Rosalie and Edward lived where and when?

Answer: Hoquiam late 1930's

In 1936, the treaty was made with the Quileute tribe while the Cullen family lived in Hoquiam according to Stephenie Meyer. Alice and Jasper had not joined them yet.

Rosalie went to medical school to help Carlisle stay updated. Edward went two times to medical school as mentioned in "Midnight Sun" to help Carlise as well.

Alice was in an asylum when changed to a vampire. Stephenie has stated that James was trying to kill her when a vampire that worked at the asylum released her then changed her to avoid James getting her. James killed the vampire that made her instead of Alice and that is why she doesn't know who the vampire was that changed her. Alice has no memory of anything before waking up a vampire due to electroshock therapy. Additionally, that is why her hair is short as they had to shave her head.

9. Who had both parents and a younger sister when changed into a vampire?

Answer: Jasper

Again, another Stephenie Meyer explanation. Rosalie had two younger brothers but no sister. Emmett was the youngest in his family, so he has no younger sibling.

10. August 1918 was very important to Edward; why?

Answer: the draft was changed to 18 years old

The human Edward was looking forward to fighting in WWI due to the hype coming from the government and the draft was set to change in August 1918, lowering it to 18, just two months after his birthday.
