Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Of the choices, which is the correct character with their slightly altered first name in the new timeline?

Answer: Nick was now called Dick

Betsy returned from her time traveling adventures with a load of awful information she needed to pass along to her housemates. She made a pit stop in bed with her king, and hubby, Eric Sinclair. Then, the roomies all met for smoothies to discuss what was up, awful and anew. Betsy was having a very difficult time bringing up the exact nature of the future ugliness, and during the off topics moments found out that Detective Nick Berry was now called Dick and did not like being called Nick at all. He claimed his family called him Dick to differentiate with the others Nicks in his bloodline.
2. Which character was alive in the new timeline, despite having died in the original one?

Answer: Garrett, the former fiend

Garrett had committed suicide after his girlfriend had died in the line of duty. Antonia, the werewolf, had taken a bullet to the brain to save Betsy from the same fate. Garrett had quickly impaled himself on part of wooden staircase he'd broken, ending his long suffering life.

In the new timeline, Garrett was alive and well and looking forward to what Queen Betsy had promised him. Of course, Betsy had no idea what she had promised, so Garrett explained that Betsy would take him to Hell to retrieve Antonia. Betsy seemed confused as to why Antonia would be in Hell, and Garret simply stated "why wouldn't she be?" It turned out that Garrett had made it all up. Lying was a new aspect of Garrett.
3. Marc the vampire followed Betsy back from the future.

Answer: True

Betsy thought of him as the Marc Thing. Tina duct taped him to their refrigerator and they debated over questioning him or outright killing him. He claimed to want to die, and that was why he'd followed Betsy home, so to speak. Betsy had seen him in the future and he'd totally creeped her out.

She didn't know if he been turned by her future self, or if she'd just failed to save him. Either way, she had spent decades torturing him in the future, to meet some as yet unbeknown end, and he'd gone totsy (insane).
4. Someone close to Betsy stole the awful "Book of the Dead". Who was it that stole the book, hid it, and then refused to return it to her?

Answer: Laura, the Antichrist

Somewhere in between their return from Hell, Laura had to have been warned by her mother (Satan) about something Betsy would learn from reading the book. The entire trip to Hell had been so Satan would perform a spell or something that allowed Betsy to read the book without going insane.

The book tended to drive people into raving homicidal lunatics if they read it too long. Satan made a deal with Betsy to allow her to read the book, and Betsy had to help Laura travel in Hell and get the hang of her powers. Now that Betsy was able to read the book, the sneaky Laura had kidnapped the book made out of skin and hid its secrets from Betsy and her crew. Satan later told Betsy that Laura had taken the book to save Betsy, and it was up to her alone to return it.
5. As the book wore on, Betsy came to hate the new timeline more and more. One of the hated changes was her mother's new boyfriend. What was his name?

Answer: Clive Lively

Betsy had hurried to her mom's house, which was about a thirty minute drive from St. Paul each way, to make sure her sneaky evil sister hadn't gone after her or BabyJon. When she arrived at her mom's house, Dr. Taylor was kissing a man outside of her home. Betsy tossed the man easily aside and asked the pair to explain themselves. Apparently, Dr. Taylor had been dating Dr. Lively for about three months, but Betsy had no idea, having just arrived to the timeline. Between Jessica's impending child birth and her mom's new boyfriend, Betsy was jonesing for her old timeline. Nick/Dick Berry's improved attitude seemed the only plus so far.
6. In a truly shocking and sickening turn of events (at least for Betsy), which shoe designer was not famously successful in the new timeline?

Answer: Christian Louboutin

After Betsy made it home from her second trip through Hell and all the way to Chicago, she was in the mood to kick some butt and save them all. But, first she needed the proper outfit ensemble, which included the Christian Louboutin red flats she'd gotten on her honeymoon.

In this new reality, Christian Louboutin was not a famous designer and Jessica had no idea who she was talking about. How had Betsy's little timeline adjustments affected the wild success of Christian Louboutin? Betsy later found out Satan DID have her red flats, on Betsy's third trip to Hell.
7. Did Satan allow Antonia the werewolf to come back from Hell, alive once more?

Answer: Yes

Betsy lost her temper in Hell, when she saw the Devil wearing her red flats! In a fast rage she crushed the neck of the Devil, leaving her crumpled body in heap at Betsy's feet. Betsy became mildly freaked out after that, as she knew full well she hadn't killed the evil woman at all. So, it was a shock when the Devil rose up and asked Betsy what it would take from her to get Betsy to leave Hell. Betsy realized the Devil was appeasing her, and that was something new. So, in a classic Betsy moment, she asked the Devil to return her black Valentino pumps; the same pumps she'd sacrificed the first time she needed to get into Hell.

The Devil allowed Betsy her request, and offered Antonia up without prompting. Later, Betsy realized shame that she had asked for pumps over the life of her friend.
8. Who killed the Marc Thing after human Marc committed suicide?

Answer: Betsy

Human Marc had spent quite a while locked in the wine cellar (or one of the three wine cells, as Betsy renamed them) with the Marc Thing. Though Betsy was freaked out about it at first, she realized the wisdom of it after she saw Marc Thing was still bound and Marc himself had crosses dangling all around his body. Sadly, after their talk, human Marc killed himself by overdosing on opiates. Betsy went back down to the wine cell, and took a stake with her. Marc Thing asked if she was finally going to kill him, and she promised that she was going to do it.

He revealed to her that Ancient Betsy had sent him back to save his human self, and tell Betsy she had save herself from becoming evil. And, as he'd requested, she staked Marc Thing when he did not see it coming.
9. From Marc's suicide letter- How did Marc describe his association with Betsy?

Answer: Lucky

From his note, addressed solely to Betsy: "But here's the thing, and it's the stone truth: knowing you has only ever made me feel one way ... Lucky." He also said that by doing this to himself he was undoing some very bad stuff. He was fortunate to be able to choose his exit, which was better than what vampire Marc's choice had been.
10. From Marc's suicide letter- Marc ended his note with the following. "I love you. I will see you again. _____ _____. Your friend, Marc". What two words are missing?

Answer: Believe it

Marc told Betsy he loved her in the note, and that since the night she saved his life, she'd been like a little sister to him. Betsy seemed determined to return to Hell and retrieve Marc, which I think may have meant she missed his point.
