"300" is an adaptation from the graphic novel - "300" by Frank Miller. He authored the famous "Sin City", which was also made into a film.
2. Who is the director of the movie?

Answer: Zack Snyder

The producer "Gianni Nunnari" (also produced "Se7en", "The Departed" and "Alexander") had a copy of the graphic novel that he wanted to develop into a movie. Later he got Zack Snyder, who also directed "Dawn of the Dead", to direct and co-write the movie.
3. Who is the narrator in the movie?

Answer: Dilios

Dilios is a Spartan warrior and narrator in the movie. However, he injures his left eye during battle. One night King Leonidas is warned by Daxos, the Arcadian leader that a hunchback traitor (Ephialtes) has led the Persians to the hidden goat path and they are now doomed. After hearing this, the King sends Dilios as his messenger to the Queen and the Council with his "grand tale" of valour.

Dilios calls the rhinoceros a "grotesque spectacle" from the corners of the world. The rhinoceros is finally killed by the spear of a Spartan warrior.

Astinos, played by Tom Wisdom, is the Captain's son. In the scene where Astinos dies, Stelios and Astinos are busy slaying Persians. It seems like all of them are dead. The Captain acknowledges the effort and valor of his eldest son. Just then, a horseman emerges from the fog in the background and beheads Astinos. Astinos' death makes the Captain go on a wild killing spree.

Answer: Spartan

The Queen of Sparta, Gorgo, is as tough as any man. When King Leonidas is all set to leave for the Hot Gates in the north, the Queen calls him back and tells him "come with your shield or on it". In the movie, the Queen is depicted as a close confidante of the King. Her toughness and Spartan spirit can be seen, as she fends off the politician Theron's treacherous moves.
7. Which direction does King Leonidas head to fight the Persians?

Answer: North

King Leonidas is not allowed to take his army, so he takes 300 of the best warriors to head north to the Hot Gates. It is a narrow corridor and the King decides to use the natural structure to his advantage. As the Persians pass through the Hot Gates, their numbers will be fewer and easier to fight, thus making them vulnerable.
8. How do the Spartans fight?

Answer: by creating a phalanx

The Spartans fight by creating a phalanx, a single impenetrable unit; such that each man shields the man to his left from neck to thigh. This is their strength and the formation leaves no room for a weak spot.

Xerxes is the rich, arrogant King of Persia, who claims to be God-King. Later King Leonidas proves that Xerxes is just as human as anyone else, when Stelios' spear pierces Xerxes' cheek and makes him bleed. In the movie, Xerxes is depicted as androgynous.

Answer: False

King Leonidas dies in the end, losing the battle. However he requests one of his 300 men - Dilios - to tell all Greece about the story of the brave 300 men who sacrificed their lives for Sparta.
In the start of the movie and towards the end, Dilios is seen telling this story to 10,000 Spartans before they march on to yet another battle with the Persians.
