Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The movie starts with Kumar sitting on Santa's lap and telling him what he wants for Christmas this year. How has Kumar's appearance changed since we saw him in the second movie?

Answer: He has grown a full beard

As we find out a little later in the movie, life hasn't treated Kumar well since the second movie left off, and he has somewhat let himself go. It appears that shaving is not high on his list of priorities!
2. We first see Harold in his swanky New York office, clearly having achieved business success. He asks his assistant Kenneth, who we met in the first movie as a Princeton student who was somewhat in awe of Harold, how he got on with his assignment of finding the perfect gift for Harold's father-in-law. What does Kenneth unveil?

Answer: A 3D television

As he unveils the gift, Kenneth kisses the box and declares "This is a Sharp fifty-two inch Aquos Quattron TV with state-of-the-art 3D technology", to which Harold replies "I don't know. Hasn't the 3D thing jumped the shark by now?". Kenneth responds by saying "Mr. Lee, you don't understand.

This is the best 3D you've ever seen. It's gonna be amazing!", and performs a double hand point directly at the camera (the first of a number of cheap, but funny, 3D gags), causing Harold to question "Who are you looking at?".
3. As Harold leaves the office he is spotted by a group who are protesting against what they see as the ridiculously high wages earned by people working on Wall Street. What do the angry mob throw at Harold?

Answer: Eggs

Harold's faithful assistant steps in to protect his boss, and takes hit after hit of exploding egg, finally falling to the ground as the mob run past him and continue their assault on Harold. Luckily Harold's friend Todd is there to pick him up in his car, although the mob make sure that it leaves the scene in a somewhat less clean state than when it arrived.
4. Harold goes to Kumar's house to drop off a package addressed to Harold that has been sent to Kumar's flat. Whilst he is there, the Christmas tree Maria's family have brought with them is destroyed. How?

Answer: It is set on fire

We saw in an earlier scene just how important the Christmas tree is to Maria's family. Now that it has been burned to a crisp, Harold realises that he must find a convincing replacement before Maria's family get home from their trip into town. Feeling guilty for causing Harold's predicament, Kumar embarks on a similar mission, and so the race to acquire a replacement twelve foot fir begins!
5. What game do Harold and Kumar play whilst at Mary's house?

Answer: Beer pong

Harold and Kumar make a deal with Mary's obnoxious little brother that if they can beat him at beer pong they can take the beautiful Christmas tree that sits proudly in Mary's house; however, if they lose, they have to part with all their cash and go home empty handed.

The kid sinks a shot, putting the pressure on Harold and Kumar, but Harold pulls out the old "Roldy Roll", and completes a miracle shot, much to the admiration of the watching crowd. However events take a turn for the worse, and the boys have to make a hasty treeless retreat.
6. During the somewhat surreal claymation scene, what chases the claymation Harold and Kumar?

Answer: A giant claymation snowman

Claymation Kumar reassures Claymation Harold that "nothing bad ever happens in claymation"; however, they are ruthlessly pursued by a very vicious looking giant claymation snowman. Of course, it's all in their heads, and we see them come back down to reality whilst hugging a tree in terror as their old friends Rosenberg and Goldstein, who are out doing some last-minute Christmas shopping, shout out "Roldy, Kumar, what the hell's the matter? What are you doing?".
7. The boys run down an alley to avoid being spotted by Maria and her family, who are about to go into a Midnight Mass service. Whilst in the alley, they are mistaken for performers who are having a break, and end up on stage with none other then Neil Patrick Harris, who is rehearsing a Christmas musical extravaganza. Which of the following Christmas songs do we NOT hear Neil sing during this rehearsal?

Answer: Frosty the Snowman

As Harold and Kumar take to the stage Harold spots a host of Christmas trees adorning the back of the stage, the acquisition of any one of which would get him out of his predicament. Somehow the boys manage to make it through the rehearsal without being spotted as frauds, and decide to sneak into NPH's dressing room to ask him to help them out.
8. Neil Patrick Harris is only too happy to give Harold one of the Christmas trees off of the set, but what does he gives Kumar to take away?

Answer: His Waffle Bot

We saw Kumar watching an advert for "the Christmas toy of the season", Waffle Bot, earlier in the movie, so he is thrilled when Neil (who is clearly not enamoured with the one he has in his dressing room) says he can have his.
9. Having escaped from Sergei Katsov's henchmen, who kidnapped the boys as they left the theatre in which they met Neil Patrick Harris, Harold and Kumar get a ride back to Harold's house with whom?

Answer: Santa Claus

The boys find themselves on top of a roof in the middle of nowhere, and Harold decides to let off a round from the shotgun he has taken from Sergei Katsov's henchmen in order to alert people to their whereabouts; however, he inadvertently shoots the passing Santa Claus in the head. Kumar uses his medical knowledge to patch Santa Claus up, and the grateful jolly fellow gives them a ride back to Harold's house on his sleigh, where he reveals that it was he who had sent the package that Kumar had taken to Harold's house near the beginning of the movie as "it was my little way of bringing you boys back together".
10. By the end of the movie, which of the boys is going to be a father?

Answer: Both Harold and Kumar

We find out towards the beginning of the movie that Vanessa is pregnant with Kumar's baby. This revelation, and the subsequent adventure Kumar shares with Harold that evening, makes Kumar realise what is important in life, and he ends up making up with Vanessa near the end of the movie. Immediately after this, we see Maria excitedly coming into her bedroom where Harold is sleeping to tell him that she has just taken a positive pregnancy test.
