He also has a cell phone which rings during the meeting. The gophers also help Otis out when he is playing golf, by moving the hole when he doesn't get a hole-in-one.

They even come to help defeat the coyotes at the end of the movie.

The animals aren't sure what type of animal Wild Mike is, but they like the way he dances. He comes out to dance when they bring him out, call for him, and start playing the music. We first see him in the movie when the animals are wanting Otis to stay and party with them during the day, and they coax him into it by summoning Wild Mike.

Ben is killed after being attacked by the coyotes. Ben was protecting the chickens from the coyotes who had entered the fence to steal the hens for food. Ben is the protector of the animals and comes to their rescue. He scares off the coyotes, but not before they injure him.

He collapses and one of the hens goes to get Otis. After Ben's death, Otis takes over when he is left in charge of the farm.

Pip is not a gopher, he is the mouse. Otis usually carries Pip around on his shoulder. When Otis and Pig are relaxing near the beginning of the movie, Pip is jumping from one of their bellies to the other, naming off the different cuts of meat for the type of animal he is jumping on.

When the pizza delivery guys are coming, the owl on top of the sign hoots to signal their arrival. All the animals in the barn get quiet, while Pig and Otis go to the door with a pair of fake arms to pay and get the pizza. One of the arms falls and they tell the pizza delivery guy to keep it. He is really excited and yells back to his friend, "Dude, I got a arm!".

We don't see it in the movie, but Ben and Otis both make mention of this. Ben found Otis and took him in to raise him as his son. Ben was always looking out for Otis and trying his best to do right by him. Finding Otis made Ben look at life differently since he now had responsibilities.

Daisy and Bessie are taken in by the farmer. They were the only two to survive a storm that killed the rest of their herd, including Daisy's husband. Otis and Daisy like each other and Otis takes on the responsibility of helping Daisy raise her child. They decide to name the boy Ben, after Otis's dad.

Ben says this to Otis when he is talking to him about responsibility and watching out for the coyotes. Otis had promised to help Ben with the fence that morning and had failed to do so. Otis didn't understand what all the fuss was about since coyotes are small and the cows are big. Near the end of the movie when Otis is fighting the coyotes, Otis stands up after being attacked and says this to Dag, the leader of the coyotes.
