Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Following the opening credits, the screen faded to a young man, named Tang Lung, waiting at an airport. He was waiting for the niece of the man who had sent him. In what country was Tang Lung waiting for her?

Answer: Italy

During his wait at the airport, an elderly lady was staring at Tang, because of his unusual appearance. He was wearing a Kung-Fu uniform and seemed to be very out of place in the airport. He went into an eatery to get some soup, but due to his inability to speak Italian, he ended up ordering more soups than he could handle.

After leaving the restaurant, he finally met up with the woman whom he went to meet in the first place.
2. After Chen Ching Hua, the young lady whom Tang met at the airport, took him to her apartment, she informed him of the reason he was sent. Why was he sent there?

Answer: A Chinese restaurant was in danger from a notorious mob boss.

The Chinese restaurant was in danger, because an Italian mob leader wanted to take control of it. Instead of offering money, or working to a friendly resolution, the mob boss decided to use dirty tactics to try and gain control. He had his men chase away customers, and often had them go into the eatery and harass the employees. That changed, quickly after Tang Lung arrived.
3. Upon making it to the restaurant, Tang Lung was led to the back alley where several of the restaurant's employees were Karate training. According to Tony, a clumsy employee, and Tang, what martial art was superior?

Answer: Chinese boxing

After Tang Lung said that he practised Chinese boxing, one of the Karate students mocked him, saying that the art had no power. Tang Lung quickly backed up his art by saying that only beginners have little power. He went on to say that to achieve power, one must use their entire body.
4. A day after defending the restaurant from a group of hired thugs, Tang Lung decided to show off his skill to the other 'wannabe' fighters. He showed several speedy kicks until he unleashed a furious side kick onto the pad that one of the waiters was holding. What happened to the waiter?

Answer: He flew a few feet into a pile of conveniently placed cardboard boxes.

Because of Tang Lung's impressive display against the menacing goons the previous evening, the waiters at the restaurant decided to abandon Karate and learn what Tang practised. They wanted a demonstration, just for thrills. The first few demonstration kicks seemed to be like warm-ups, containing incredible speed but no real power.

After warming up, he unleashed a kick so hard that the poor waiter holding the pad flew into a pile of boxes. He was a bit shaken, but overall unscathed by the kick.
5. The second time that the thugs arrived at the restaurant, they thought they could claim victory with guns. Once Tang Lung got his hands on a set of particular weapons, the tide was drastically turned. What kind of weapons were those?

Answer: Nunchuks

After being led outside of the building, by a man with a gun, Tang Lung defeated the man at close range, before attracting the attention of every menacer sent there. He originally pulled out only one set of Nunchuks, but once more men started pouring out of the restaurant, Tang pulled out a second pair of Nunchuks and overcame everyone fighting him.

He then headed back into the restaurant and defeated the men with guns, using wooden darts.
6. Subsequent to having his entire army defeated at the hands of Tang Lung, the mob boss, using advice from Mr. Ho, decided to hire three skilled martial-artists to defeat Tang. Which of the following was NOT one of the places that the fighters hailed from?

Answer: Brazil

According to Mr. Ho, he had two martial artist friends who could help them defeat Tang Lung. One was a European Karate champ, from an unspecified nation, and the other was a Japanese Karate master. The mob boss came up with the idea of hiring Colt, the American Karate champion to defeat Tang Lung.

The only fear Mr. Ho had, was that he thought the fighters wouldn't get along because of their different backgrounds. Sure enough, when they arrived, the Japanese fighter and the European one were already attacking one another.

When Colt arrived, he alone was given the specific task of killing Tang Lung, but faced criticism from the Japanese fighter. Colt showed off his skill by quickly defeating the gutsy Japanese fighter.
7. After promising to drive Tang Lung and the other restaurant employees to his leader, Mr. Ho drove all of them to the middle of nowhere. It turned out to be an ambush. Two of the three hired fighters were waiting for them. The European fighter was killed by taking multiple shots to the groin. Was the Japanese fighter killed as well?

Answer: No

In "Return of the Dragon", real-life Karate master Robert Wall played a hired European martial artist named Bob Fred. He fought well against Tang Lung's comrades before Tang Lung entered the fray. It was a short match that ended up costing Bob Fred's life. The second fighter, a Japanese master was weakened by Tang Lung before two of the restaurant employees knocked him out.
In "Enter the Dragon", Robert Wall's character, Oharra, was also killed by Bruce Lee.
8. After Tang Lung ran off to follow Mr. Ho, two of the restaurant's staff were left behind to recover from the difficult battle. Little did they know that someone close to them would betray and murder them. Who was it who betrayed the young men?

Answer: Uncle Wang

After Mr. Ho lured Tang Lung away, Uncle Wang stabbed the two remaining fighters in the back. The reason he betrayed them was that he had worked for so long and received nothing. He was offered a large sum of money and the option to go back to Hong Kong and be with his family, if he betrayed his friends.
9. After following the pesky Mr. Ho to ancient Roman architecture, Tang Lung was lured into a fight against the final fighter, named Colt. Which legendary martial artist and actor played Colt?

Answer: Chuck Norris

Chuck Norris proved to be one of Bruce Lee's toughest on-screen opponents. In their fight, Colt landed approximately ten hits on Tang Lung. After that tenth hit, an inspirational tune turned on in the background. Tang Lung had begun to move more and also became quicker, dodging the onslaught of kicks in Colt's arsenal. Tang Lung quickly took over the momentum of the fight, beating Colt until he himself tried to fight like Tang.

Unfortunately, it proved unsuccessful for him. In an attempt to end the fight, Tang Lung broke Colt's right arm and leg. Colt still tried to fight despite the injuries but ended up having his neck broken by Tang. To honor Colt's skill, Tang draped Colt's uniform over his bloodied corpse.
10. What was the fate of the film's mob boss?

Answer: He was arrested by the police and imprisoned.

After running back to meet up with his friends, Tang was shocked to find that they were all dead. Uncle Wang cut himself to make it appear as if he was a victim. Mr. Ho tried to run to his leader but the leader shot him. Uncle Wang tried to stab Tang Lung, but he was also shot. Tang tried to hit the mob boss with some of his wooden darts but could not.

The police soon arrived and arrested the mob boss. Tang Lung had nobody left but Chen Ching Hua and Tony.
