Answer: Eaten Alive by Cannibals

The film was renamed for release in several countries. The title 'Make Them Die Slowly' was renamed purely for the American release, while 'Woman From Deep River' was used merely in Australia and 'Die Rache den Kannibalen' was created for Germany's release.

Answer: To disprove the existence of cannibalism.

Gloria is writing her college thesis, which is set on disproving the myth of cannibalism. If she is able to disprove recent accounts of cannibalism in the South American jungles, it will somehow disprove the myths of cannibalism everywhere. How this concept would have worked remained a mystery to viewers back in 1981, and continues to baffle viewers up to this very day.

The film also made no effort to try and explain this.

This is one of the many scenes which made 'Cannibal Ferox' into the controversial film that it is considered. The reason for that is the fact that this scene, as well as many others, featured actual animals being slaughtered on screen. Umberto Lenzi (the film's director) however considered this the law of the jungle, and was said to have considered shooting these scenes a joyous occasion.

It should, however, be noted that his actors threatened to leave the set if he killed any more animals for the purpose of this film.

Answer: John Morghen

John Morghen was an active participant in Italian horror movies, although he was usually cast under the name Giovanni Lombardo Radice. Matthei starred as Rudy Davis, Lloyd stared as Joe and Kerman starred as Police LT. Rizzo.

Mike proceeds to kill the pig and rescue Gloria. Interesting fact: John Morghen, while shooting the film, refused to slaughter a defenseless pig. When we see the pig get slaughtered, Morghen's hand is actually stabbing a bucket of pig blood, while the FX creator really slaughters the pig.

6. Although Rudy and Joe are unsuccessful in their search for Rudy's sister, they do find something else. What is it?

Answer: A slaughtered native tied to a pole.

Soon after this Joe, who was dying of jungle fever, revealed to Rudy and Gloria that the native had told Mike where to find a cluster of emeralds. After the native failed to live up to his word, Mike tortured and eventually slaughtered the poor native.

Mike's manhood is taken away from him in a graphic close-up. Afterwards the wound is cauterized and he is stuffed back into the cage.

Answer: He receives a poison blow dart to his throat.

Rudy escapes into the jungle and is tracked by the natives. He hides in a pond only to get chomped on by piranhas, this alerts the natives to where he is hiding and finally they finish what the piranhas could not.

The poor native guides her through the jungle and is then caught in one of their own native traps. Gloria is eventually found half dead on the river bed.

There is a nice touch of irony at the end, with Gloria writing her thesis and stating that cannibalism does indeed NOT EXIST. She explains the death of the other members in her team by stating that they were all killed by crocodiles.
