John Patrick Mason was the name of the character played by Sean Connery in "The Rock" (1996).

This is suggested by Philip Sanderson (Matthew Lillard) who is trying to get Gus fired. Rigo pitches fastballs and curves that Bo cannot hit and is finally signed by the Braves.

The management then realise that they were wrong about Philip's judgement of Bo and Gus is given an extended contract as a scout. Johnny "The Flame" Flanagan (Justin Timberlake) was a former player that Gus had scouted and who has a crush on Mickey (Amy Adams). Pete Klein (John Goodman) is a friend and the boss of Gus.

Answer: Mystic River

Clint has composed the scores for most of his films since "Mystic River". He is credited with the musical score on the other three movies mentioned, which he also directed. In "A Perfect World" he wrote "Big Fan's Baby", in "Bridges of Madison County" he wrote "Doe Eyes", and in "Unforgiven" he wrote "Claudia's Theme". "Mystic River" (2003) was the first movie since "Ben Hur" (1959) to win both Academy Awards for Best Actor (Sean Penn) and Best Supporting Actor (Tim Robbins).
