In the movie, "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs", we first meet young Flint Lockwood in his elementary school during Show and Tell. There he shows his classmates his very own invention, which solves a serious problem, one that he considers epidemic in the childhood community... which we will find out about during this quiz!

Flint intelligently solves the problem of untied shoelaces, by making a thing called Spray-on-shoes. They not only cover his whole feet, they never come off! I wonder how Flint copes with his spray-on-shoes during the summer?

In the tiny town of Swallow Falls, the city suffers from a non-stop food supply of sardines, so much so that the citizens have to come up with different ways to make sardines more bearable. For example, they poach sardines, fry sardines, put them in baby formula etc.

Flint hates sardines so much that he makes an invention that turns water into food. Surprisingly, the machine works so well that delicious food comes raining from the sky and The Mayor eventually renames the dank town of
"Swallow Falls" to "Chew and Swallow".

Answer: Flint's mother

When he was younger, Flint felt discouraged that his Spray-on-shoes did not impress his fellow classmates, and they laughed at him. So he ran home and cried. His mother consoled him and they had a talk. She helped Flint realize there was something special in him and gave him a brand new lab coat. Mother Lockwood told her son that he was going to be a great inventor one day and that cheered and encouraged him to follow his dreams.

Answer: Steve

Steve is Flint's simple and loyal monkey friend. He is often "speaking" through the monkey thought translator, saying simple words like, "Yellow", "Can", and "Gummy bears".

Too bad Flint's invention for his little furry pal Steve works with very limited results. No wonder "monkey thought translators" are not flying off the shelves at Walmart.

Mr. T is a well known celebrity who plays the voice of the charming and tough, short-short wearing cop named Earl. That cop can't stand Flint and his crazy inventions.

Mr. T also played in the classic TV show "The A-Team".

Answer: The Mayor

The mayor sneaks into Flint's secret lab and orders himself an All-You-Can-Eat Vegas-Styled buffet on the computer.

Flint tries to stop the mayor, after finding out that his food replicator has gone berserk and can't handle any more orders. The two men engage in a struggle and The Mayor throws a giant radish at Flint that misses and destroys his computer instead.

Answer: Sam, Baby Brent, Manny and Steve

Flint wants only Steve, Sam and her cameraman, Manny, to join him on his mission to destroy the chaotic food replicator, now turned psychotic meatball.
But his one time rival, Baby Brent, pesters Flint and insists that he join the mission so he can break away from his now deflated fame as the once-famous baby of the town's Baby Brent's Sardines company. Flint reluctantly agrees and sees Baby Brent changing into something better and unexpected.

Answer: She gets pricked by a shard of peanut brittle and has an allergic reaction.

She is lowering Flint by a licorice rope into the pit to stop the food making machine. But she loses her grip and gets pricked by a giant piece of peanut brittle. Sam blows up like a balloon and is too sick to continue her journey with him.

Then Baby Brent, now turned heroic Chicken Brent, saves her and returns her to the flying car to get a much needed allergy shot.

Answer: He covers the FLDSMDFR's opening with spray-on shoes!

Flint finds another use for his Spray-on-shoes, at the last possible second, when the food making machine threatens to blow him away!

And after the movie. We learn that Flint and his dad go into business together and use spray-on-shoes as a roof sealant! How clever!
