Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Arendelle is the name of the kingdom in which film?

Answer: Frozen

'Frozen' is a story about two sisters (Anna and Elsa) trying to heal their sibling relationship as well as their Scandinavian kingdom, Arendelle, of which they are princesses.
2. In 'Tangled', what place of interest in Corona do Rapunzel and Flynn explore and dance around?

Answer: The market place

Throughout the film you can see that the castle is where the royal family live, the village is full of residents from Corona, the prison is where Flynn was briefly held until he was to be hung (but was later rescued by Maximus and the thugs), and finally the market place is where we see Rapunzel and Flynn exploring and dancing around (they also share a cheeky cupcake together there).

This scene is where we see a change in Flynn and Rapunzel's relationship.
3. "Welcome to__________, city of mystery, of enchantment, and the finest merchandise this side of the bazaar, on sale today! Come on down!" is a quote from 'Aladdin', but what city is the peddler welcoming you to?

Answer: Agrabah

In the first couple of minutes of the film, the narrator (often thought to be the genie after he was freed and loses the last of his powers, so say some of the fans) says Agrabah (located near the Jordan River) is the location, giving the impression that the story will be exotic.
4. Maldonia is a fictional country mentioned in which film?

Answer: The Princess and the Frog

'The Princess and the Frog' is a story about a young woman (Tiana) who is determined to start a restaurant and a broke young prince (Naveen) who is determined to marry a rich woman. Naveen arrives in New Orleans in search of Charlotte, and we learn that he is from Maldonia*. Their paths collide after The Shadow Man puts a voodoo curse on Naveen and he mistakes Tiana for a princess. They kiss to break the spell but because she isn't a princess, she turns into a frog as well. They then have an epic adventure through the Bayou to search for Madam Odie to change them back.

*According to Disney Wiki, "Maldonia is a portmanteau of real life countries Maldives and Macedonia".
5. In 'Beauty and the Beast', what is the famous dark and mysterious forest that surrounds Beast's Castle?

Answer: The Black Forest

The Black Forest (Germany) that was once inhabited by wolves and bears is the setting for 'Beauty and the Beast'. When we watch the film we discover that it is a dark and gloomy forest that no one dares venture into but then when the curse is broken it becomes a lovely place.
6. Where are Hangman's Tree, Mermaid Lagoon, Skull Rock, and Crocodile Creek located?

Answer: Neverland

In the film 'Peter Pan', Hangman's Tree is of course the entrance to the secret home of Peter and the Lost Boys, Mermaid Lagoon as you've probably guessed is where you'd find the group of mermaids we see throughout the film, Skull Rock is as its name suggests: a large rock in the shape of a skull, and Crocodile Creek is the home of the dreaded crocodile who ate Captain Hook's hand.
7. In 'Brave', where does Merida first encounter the will o' the wisps?

Answer: The forest

'Brave' is the story of a defiant young woman refusing to be a princess and wants to change her fate. She first encounters the will o' the wisps in the forest as a young girl. Many years later, she encounters the wisps again at the Ring of Stones (a circle of large tall stones much like Stonehenge), and they lead her to a witch where she changes her fate in the worst way possible!
8. In what film would you find King Stefan's Castle?

Answer: Sleeping Beauty

In the film we can see that Aurora is left to sleep for a hundred years in King Stefan's Castle (in the tallest tower) after Maleficent has cursed her, which is practically the whole plot of the story.
9. Pride Rock is located in the Pride Lands, made famous by what film?

Answer: The Lion King

In 'The Lion King' - a story about a young lion cub who is emotionally blackmailed out of his pride - Pride Rock is the home to many animals (giraffes, elephants, monkeys, etc.), including Simba (the wronged lion cub), until it becomes ruined when Scar rules over the land.
10. Where would you find the White Rabbit's House?

Answer: Wonderland

Alice, from 'Alice in Wonderland', discovers the White Rabbit's House during her adventure in Wonderland of course. She (and the not so pleasant Dodo) end up changing the size of the house a number of times.
