Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Stay away from those, kid; they ain't nothin' but trouble!"

Answer: Baloo

After a terrific fight with Shere Khan, Baloo the Bear, Bagheera the Panther, and Mowgli the Mancub come across a human village in a remote part of the jungle. When Mowgli becomes curious about a young human girl who has come to the river to fetch a pitcher of water, Baloo utters this warning. Mowgli responds with "I want a better look." Baloo tries to talk him out of it, while Bagheera urges him on, knowing that the man village is the safest place for Mowgli with Shere Khan still on the prowl. From "The Jungle Book" (1967).
2. "Get off the roof! Get off the roof! Get off the roof!"

Answer: Mulan

Mulan has lured Xiangnu, the Hun leader, to the roof of the imperial palace for a final showdown. She is not strong enough to defeat him in hand-to-hand combat, so she pins his cape to the roof with her knife and then runs. She shouts this directive basically to herself, because, as planned, Mushu the miniature fire-breathing dragon is waiting in a tower across the plaza to launch a large explosive bottle-rocket directly at them.

As Mulan dives from the roof, the rockets hits Xiangnu in the gut and carries him away in a terrific ball of glittering fire. Mulan escapes by sliding down a guy wire to a safe landing on the plaza floor. From "Mulan" (1998).
3. "Always let your conscience be your guide."

Answer: Jiminy Cricket

Jiminy, who symbolically personifies Pinocchio's inner conscience, offers these words of advice in a song entitled "Give a Little Whistle" as Pinocchio sets off for his first day of school. Pinocchio of course does not heed the advice, and takes up with the wily fox J. Worthington Foulfellow and his sidekick, a mute cat named Gideon.

They convince Pinocchio to join the puppet show of an evil con man named Stromboli, who lures foolish boys to Pleasure Island where they are turned into donkeys and shipped off to work in the mines. From "Pinocchio" (1940).
4. "Humans? Who said anything about humans?"

Answer: Sebastian

King Triton, Ariel's father, believes she has fallen in love with a young merboy, and tries to entice hermit crab Sebastian, Ariel's unofficial guardian, into spilling the secret. "Sebastian," the King says, "I know you're keeping something from me... about Ariel." Sebastian, who knows Ariel has gone to the surface and become smitten instead with the human Prince Erik, panics and tries to extricate himself by claiming that he "tried to warn her to stay away from humans." When King Triton hears the word "humans" he becomes enraged. Sebastian then tries to cover his slip-up by asking the aforementioned question.

The king wraps a tight fist around the crab and forces him to spill the truth about Ariel's forbidden escapade. From "The Little Mermaid" (1989).
5. "Wrong again. I'm not the one who's confused. You don't even know who you are."

Answer: Rafiki

While seeking solitude from his friends Timon and Pumbaa, Simba spots Rafiki, the wise old baboon sitting on a rock chanting a nonsensical rhyme. Simba asks, "What's that supposed to mean?" Rafiki answers, "It means that I am a monkey's uncle, and you are a baboon." Simba snidely remarks that Rafiki is "a little confused." Rafiki responds with the aforementioned quote, after which he informs Simba that he is in fact "Mufassa's boy." Simba is stunned that after so many years of being in hiding, his true identity is still known. From "The Lion King" (1994).
6. "Ten thousand years in the Cave of Wonders oughta chill him out."

Answer: Genie

Aladdin has tricked evil Jafar into using the 3rd wish to be turned into an all-powerful genie. The blue Genie of the lamp grants the wish, but to Jafar's horror, being a genie also means imprisonment in the magic lamp. Too late, Jafar is sucked in a vortex into the lamp, dragging his foul sidekick parrot Iago with him.

The two are heard bickering inside the lamp as the blue Genie picks up the lamp and flicks it into the Cave of Wonders. Having defeated Jafar, Aladdin is once again in possession of the lamp, and uses his own last wish to set the blue Genie free. From "Aladdin" (1992).
7. "You are a worthless street rat. You'll die a street rat, and only your fleas will mourn you."

Answer: Prince Achmed

The Sultan has issued a decree that Princess Jasmine is to be married, and has invited suitors to vie for her hand. Among them is the arrogant Prince Achmed. As he rides into town on his steed, he kicks Aladdin out of the way, and leaves him with this scorching rebuke. Shortly thereafter, the Princess flatly rejects Achmed, who storms from the palace shouting "Good luck marrying her off!" By the time Aladdin presents himself as Prince Ali, Jasmine wants nothing more to do with princes, making it virtually impossible for him to win her trust. From "Aladdin" (1992).
8. "Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here."

Answer: Cheshire Cat

Alice has just left a wildly insane tea party with the Mad Hatter and the March Hare. She brings her complaint to the Cheshire Cat, saying "I don't want to go among mad people." The cat replies with the aforementioned quote. The cat then goes on to explain, "I'm mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" says Alice.
"You must be," says the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here." From "Alice in Wonderland" (1951).
9. "Odd? My daughter? Where did you get an idea like that?"

Answer: Maurice

Belle has just returned from the village, where she went to exchange books with a book dealer. She leaves the village feeling as though people see her as strange, perhaps because she spends so much time reading. She asks her father Maurice if she is odd. Maurice, who is wearing a goofy-looking pair of goggles with wobbling eyeballs, looks up from behind the invention he is working on and asks the aforementioned question. From "Beauty and the Beast" (1991).
10. "Then go ahead and STARVE! If she doesn't eat with me, she doesn't eat at all."

Answer: Beast

The Beast, acting on the advice of Lumiere the candle-holder, has politely asked Belle to join him for dinner. Belle, who has locked herself in her room, states that she is not hungry. The Beast flies into a rage at the idea of being rejected, and retaliates with the aforementioned vociferous roar. "Dear me," says Mrs. Potts, "that didn't go well at all." Belle emerges later and ventures to the kitchen to eat alone. From "Beauty and the Beast" (1991).
