Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How did this "Snatch" quote finish? "Never underestimate the predictability of... "

Answer: Stupidity

This was said by Bullet Tooth Tony (Vinnie Jones) whilst he sat in a bar being threatened by two guys with 'replica' pistols. Having seen the word 'replica' typed on the side of the pistol, Jones was unconcerned. "Snatch" followed a variety of shady characters and their determination to get their hands on a precious stone.
2. What movie was this quote from? "The wave is mine."

Answer: Airborne

Mitchell (Shane McDermott) was telling his cousin Wiley (Seth Green) about a dream he just had where a shark named 'Pepe' warned him away from a wave. From here Mitchell realised the comparisons in his own life, and the girl he liked. The movie was about 17 year old Mitchell who was forced to spend a summer in Cincinnati with his cousin.
3. What sports movie was this quote from? "This is no democracy, it's a dictatorship, I am the law!"

Answer: Remember the Titans

Denzel Washington played the coach of the football team in this movie. It was a drama about a team with both black and white players, learning to play and live together in a racist community. The quote was taken from a scene in the movie where Coach Boone (Washington) asserted his authority over the team by letting them know exactly where they stood.
4. The lead singer of which band said this line? "That would be a waste of time." Hint: The movie starred Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze.

Answer: Red Hot Chili Peppers

Anthony Kiedis said this in "Point Break". He played Tone and was speaking to Special Agent 'Johnny' Utah (Keanu Reeves) just before beating him up. "Point Break" was a surfie movie about an FBI agent who was investigating a string of bank robberies. The theory was that a group of surfers was behind the robberies so the agents decided to send Agent Utah under cover.
5. "We'll make spears, long spears twice as long as a man" said William Wallace in "Braveheart". What was Hamish's response to this?

Answer: 'Some men are longer than others.'

"Your mum been tallin' stories about me again" was the quick response from Hamish's dad. The spears were used to great advantage against the many horsemen of the English. This scene took place when the rebels, lead by Wallace (Mel Gibson), were preparing for an imminent war with the English, lead by King Edward Long Shanks (Patrick McGoohan).
6. When asked "What's Washington like?" in the movie "Traffic", Robert Wakefield (Michael Douglas) replied "It's like Calcutta with all the beggars". He then added that there was a difference between the beggars. What did he say?

Answer: "The ones here wear suits and don't say please and thank you."

This is one of my all time favourite movie quotes. Robert Wakefield (Michael Douglas) was talking to his wife and his daughter at the dinner table at the time. He had just returned from Washington on business, and was about to accept a new job as head of a drug task force. "Traffic" was a powerful movie about drug use and what happened when it affected those closest to us.
7. In what movie did Keanu Reeves speak the words "I am an FBI agent."?

Answer: Point Break

Johnny Utah was Keanu Reeves' character. He spoke these words on the way to a bank robbery he was forced to be involved in. Johnny was an FBI agent who was undercover to try and solve a series of bank robberies. The surfers he was forced to hang around with, found out he was a cop and instead of killing Johnny or fleeing, they decided to use him in their latest robbery.
8. In "The Truman show" Truman, played by Jim Carey said "Somebody help me, I'm being..." What?

Answer: "Spontaneous!"

"The Truman show" starred Jim Carey as Truman Burbank, and was about a TV show that followed the life of a man since the day he was born. The thing was that the star of the show (Carey), was not aware the show even existed. This quote was said when Truman started to work out that he was constantly being watched.

He then circled a round-about on numerous occasions in his car, to try and catch out the producers of the show. His wife was in the car with him trying to calm him down.
9. In "Back To The Future" Goldie Wilson declared "I'll be the most powerful man in Hill Valley, and I'm gonna clean up this town". What did Lou, his boss reply?

Answer: "Good, you can start by sweeping the floor."

As Lou made his reply he handed Goldie a broom. Little did they know that Goldie was speaking the truth. At various stages during the "Back To The Future" trilogy, Goldie had his name plastered across promotional fliers as the Mayor of Hill Valley. The quote was said after a fight in the small coffee shop he worked in.
10. Which Adam Sandler character came up with this classic: "I feel like an idiot. But I am an idiot, so it kinda works out."?

Answer: Billy Madison - "Billy Madison"

This was one of Sandler's best films and is one of my favourite quotes. Billy was forced to go back to school to prove to his dad that he was not a loser, and could take over the family business when his father retired. Billy was speaking to Veronica Vaughn, who was his third grade teacher. Veronica was played by Bridgette Wilson.
