Ed gets to meet the president of "Screen Classics", George, (Mike Starr) in an interview, in order to get the directing job. Ed decides to reveal his predilection for wearing women's clothing. George inquires, "You're a fruit?" "No, not at all. I love women. Wearing their clothes makes me feel closer to them." George replies, "You're not a fruit." Ed says, "No, I'm all man. I even fought in W.W. Two." Unfortunately, this is not enough to get Ed the job.

Answer: Ed meets Bela as he is being fitted for a coffin.

Ed walks by "Hollywood Mortuary," and happens to see Bela Lugosi, being fitted for a coffin. Bela is not at all satisfied with the coffin. As Bela leaves the store, he says, "This is the most uncomfortable coffin I've ever been in. Your selection is quite shoddy. You're wasting my time!" Ed tells Bela that he is a big fan, and that he has seen all of his movies. Ed gives Bela a ride home in his car, and thus, their relationship begins.

As Ed delivers Bela to his doorstep, Bela exclaims that, "They don't want the classic horror films any more." "Today, it's all giant bugs." Bela suggests that women, preferred the traditional monsters. "The pure horror, it both repels and attracts them." Bela says, "If you want to make out with a young lady, you take her to see 'Dracula'".

Vampira says, "You're watching our Halloween movie, White Zombie." Ed tells Bela that he hates it when she interrupts, but Bela says, "I think she's a honey." Vampira was perhaps, the first and foremost creepy horror show host of the 1950s.

After Ed says that he can produce a star for George's movie, George says, "Kid, you must have me confused with David Selznick. I don't make major motion pictures." Nevertheless, George is in a bind, and decides to hire Ed to direct. However, he insists that Ed must write a script in three days.

During the television skit, Bela can't remember his lines, and freezes during the shooting. All Bela can say is, "Greetings. I am the Count." After the dismal performance, Bela and Ed meet Criswell, coming out of his dressing room. Criswell commiserates with Bela, and also remembers Ed as being the director of "Glen or Glenda". Criswell says, "I predict your next performance will be an outstanding success."

Donald McCoy appears to be a down-to-earth businessman who, while willing to finance the film, has two conditions. Donald says, "I want the film to end with a big explosion. Sky full of smoke." While sitting at the bar, Ed notices, none other than, Orson Welles, Ed's idol, sitting at a booth. Ed walks over, and introduces himself. Orson is very gracious and they have a discussion about the rigors of the film industry. Ed asks, "Is it all worth it?" Orson replies, "It is when it works." Later, Orson says, "Ed, visions are worth fighting for. Why spend your life making someone else's dreams?"

Answer: False

Unfortunately, Bela had passed away before the filming of "Plan 9 from Outer Space" had started. Ed dedicates the film to Bela, and reflects that, this is the film, for which he will be remembered. The film concludes with brief biographical notes about each of the participants in the film.
