Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Arriving at the castle to marry her prince, Giselle was waylaid by an old hag who sent her "where there are no happily ever afters". Where was the portal to this place?

Answer: Well

Literally falling into Prince Edward's arms at their first meeting (an ogre was trying to get her), Giselle and the prince were to be married the next day. Edward's stepmother, Queen Narissa, didn't want Edward to marry because then she wouldn't be queen anymore. Disguised as an old hag, Narissa convinced Giselle to make a wish at the well, and then pushed her in. Giselle ended up entering New York through a manhole in Times Square.
2. Where was Giselle when Robert and Morgan first saw her?

Answer: On a billboard

After walking the streets in the rain, Giselle saw a billboard for The Palace Casino, where dreams come true. The billboard had a large, pink, glittery castle on it which Giselle thought contained people who could help her. She climbed up to the platform and knocked on the castle door, which is where she was when Morgan saw her as they were riding by in a taxi.

When Robert got her attention, Giselle lost her footing and fell from the sign, half landing on and half being caught by Robert. When Robert asked if she needed him to call someone for her, Giselle replied, "Oh, but I don't think they'd hear you from here". Robert and Morgan took Giselle to their apartment, where she spent the night.
3. After Edward and Pip arrived in New York, Edward killed a great beast with his sword (or thought he did). What did he slay?

Answer: Bus

Edward plunged his sword through the roof of a bus, thinking it was some kind of steel beast. When he did so, he cut open a bag of bird seed which was held by an old woman. The bus driver stopped the bus and got out, telling him to get off of her bus.

He assured her that he had slain the beast and saved all of the peasants. Later in the park, Giselle talked to the same old woman from the bus, who told her she had seen Edward.
4. Complete the quote: Giselle: "Why are you staring at me?" Robert: "I don't know. It's, it's like you escaped from a _____________ or something."

Answer: Hallmark card

First, Robert's girlfriend Nancy left very upset after seeing a towel-clad Giselle at Robert's apartment, and then Robert saw that Giselle had made a dress from his curtains. Giselle thought that Robert was unhappy, but he said he was actually angry because she had created a completely unnecessary problem with Nancy that he had to resolve. Giselle told him that he should sing to Nancy.

He should rush to her side and pour his heart out in a beautiful ballad and then she'd be sure of his affections.

After she said this, Giselle asked Robert why he was staring at her. He answered with the Hallmark card comment to which Giselle asked, "Is that a bad thing?".
5. Giselle had two doves carry flowers to Nancy, from Robert. Nancy's response to the flowers was to throw them out of the window.

Answer: False

Robert took Giselle along to his office, where she got him into trouble for being too kind to a client. He gave Giselle some money and said goodbye to her at the park, but then couldn't let her go. As they walked through the park, Robert and Giselle discussed Robert's relationship with Nancy. Giselle explained, in song, things to do to let someone know you're their love, and asked a couple of doves to take a heart-shaped arrangement of flowers to Nancy.

After Robert received a call from Nancy, he and Giselle went to her office. Nancy absolutely loved the flowers, and accepted Robert's invitation to the Kings and Queens Ball.
6. Narissa gave Nathaniel three poisoned apples. He tried to give Giselle the first one in the park disguised as a caramel apple. How was the second apple served to her?

Answer: Apple Martini

Robert, Giselle and Morgan were eating dinner at Bella Notte when Nathaniel, disguised as an Italian waiter, served Giselle a complimentary Apple Martini. She was just about to take a drink when Pip knocked it out of her hands. Happy to see him, Giselle learned from Pip that Edward was in New York. Pip ended up hiding in the pizza, and just missed getting thrown in the fire pit by Nathaniel.
7. How did Edward find out where Giselle's building was?

Answer: TV news

Edward, still at the hotel, was transfixed by the TV, which he thought was a magic mirror. While watching the news, he saw Giselle being interviewed outside of the restaurant just after the rodent incident. Edward begged the mirror to tell him where Giselle was, just before the reporter said that she was reporting from 116th and Broadway. Edward said, "Thank you mirror", gave the TV a hug and then kissed it.

After finding his way to the building and mastering the revolving door, Edward began knocking on apartment doors, eventually giving up after not finding Giselle. One pregnant woman with three kids who answered her door took one look at Edward in his Prince Charming-like outfit and said, "You're too late". Edward replied, "My apologies", and left quickly.
8. When Giselle told Morgan about what happened with Little Red Riding Hood, what was different from the popular version of the story?

Answer: The wolf was being chased by Red.

Back at home after their wild dinner, Giselle was tucking Morgan into bed when she asked if Giselle thought that Pip would be OK. Giselle said that Pip was very brave and she remembered this one time that the poor wolf was being chased by Little Red Riding Hood around his grandmother's house. Red had an axe, and if Pip hadn't been walking by to help, Giselle said she didn't know what would have happened. Confused, Morgan said, "I don't really remember that version", to which Giselle replied, "That's because Red tells it a little differently".
9. Once he found Giselle, Edward wanted her to go back to Andalasia with him. Giselle wanted to go on a date first.

Answer: True

Robert had explained about dates to Giselle, who, by the time Edward appeared, already had feelings for Robert. Her lack of feelings for Edward became apparent to Giselle when she failed to complete a duet with him. After spending part of the day on their date, Giselle still wasn't ready to go back, so she suggested Edward take her to the Kings and Queens Ball that night, knowing that Robert would be there. Morgan helped Giselle get ready for the ball by going shopping and to a hair salon with her.
10. Knowing that Giselle could only be saved by true love's kiss after she took a bite from the poisoned apple, Prince Edward kissed her. Why didn't she wake up after the kiss?

Answer: Robert was her true love.

At the ball, Robert and Giselle shared a dance which had Nancy and Edward worried by what they saw happening between the two. As Giselle waited for Edward, who was getting her wrap, the old hag approached her with an apple. Told that the apple would take away the pain she was feeling by not being able to be with the one she loved, Giselle took a bite and fell unconscious. Robert realized that true love's kiss would save Giselle, but when Edward kissed her, nothing happened. Edward realized that Robert was the one, but Robert didn't think so.

He hesitated, but after Nancy told him it was OK, Robert kissed Giselle, waking her up. Narissa, a bit upset, turned herself into a dragon and took Robert to the top of the building. Robert was saved by Pip and Giselle, Giselle stayed in New York with Morgan and Robert, and they all lived happily ever after. Pip and Nathaniel both became best-selling authors, while Edward married Nancy in Andalasia.
