Neal attempts to lead the bus in a rendition of "Three Coins in a Fountain," but no one knows that song. Del saves him by starting a rendition of "The Flintstones". Del drives and pretends to play instruments to the song "Mess Around" during the movie, and "Every Time You Go Away" is the song played at the end of the movie.

Matthew Lawrence played Neal's son, seen at the end of the movie. This may seem like an obscure question, but if you are familiar with the Lawrence brothers, you know that they all look a lot alike. Matthew's older brother, Joey, acted on "Blossom" during the '90s. His other brother, Andrew, is also an actor. You may remember Matthew as Robin William's son in "Mrs. Doubtfire."

Del is pulled over for speeding while driving the car after the fire. He didn't know he was speeding because the speedometer no longer worked. Del told the officer that none of the gauges worked, but that, amazingly, the radio still did!

Neal is from Chicago. We see this at the beginning of the movie, when Neal states that he has a plane to catch, and it is printed on his airplane ticket. We also see this at the end of the movie, when Neal returns home.

The incredible John Candy played the part of Del, while the hilarious Steve Martin played the part of Neal. John Candy was arguably the best comedic actor in recent times, appearing in such movies as "Cool Runnings," "Once Upon a Crime," and "Uncle Buck."
