Answer: Paul and Peter

Paul and Peter are the main antagonists of the film: two good-looking, nicely dressed, preppy young men who delight in terrorizing families in their vacation homes. Paul is more dominant and clearly the leader, while Peter seems to merely follow Paul's lead as the movie progresses. They also refer to themselves as "Tom and Jerry" and "Beavis and Butthead" throughout the movie.

Answer: A guessing game

The first game they play, almost immediately after Paul and Peter take control, is a guessing game in which Paul holds up a golf ball and asks them to guess what it is. When they guess correctly, he goes on to lead them in several more questions that reveal he has beaten their dog to death.

Answer: He is beaten to death by one of the young men.

Before Paul and Peter even confront the family or tell them what is about to happen to them, Paul asks to test out a golf club and goes outside. We hear Lucky barking ferociously and then make a horrible noise and go silent. He seems to know the boys are trouble as soon as they step onto the property. Unfortunately, the family ignores his warnings.

Answer: The Thompsons

The Thompsons are friends of the Farber family. We see both Fred and Eve (his wife) from afar at the beginning of the film. Although we don't know it at the time, Paul and Peter are there with them already terrorizing the family. Fred Thompson is actually the one who introduces Paul to the Farbers in the first place, taking him to their house to help launch their boat.

Although Fred acts oddly and Eve and their daughter are inexplicably gone, the Farbers don't seem to notice.

Answer: Peter asking for eggs

Although we meet Paul at the gate with Mr. Thompson, this is the first scene in which we are introduced to Peter. He introduces himself as a friend of the Thompsons, using the excuse that Mrs. Thompson needs eggs.

Answer: The one who wasn't slapped hits him in the knee with a golf club.

When George tells Paul to watch his tongue, Paul threatens George by calling him an old man and warning he would "Break his eggs". George reacts by slapping Paul in the face and Peter immediately grabs a golf club and breaks George's knee with it.

Answer: That they will be dead by 9:00 am

This happens after Mr. Farber asks the boys why they are doing this. After giving several bogus answers, Mr. Farber tells him that he gets it, they are just doing it for fun. When he says this Paul exclaims, "He gets it! Now let's make a bet". The family is horrified at the bet and refuse to answer to anything that Paul says.

This part is especially dreadful. Michael Pitt (Paul) is a remarkable actor.

Answer: Georgie

Georgie is the Farbers' nine-year-old son who is very feisty. He attacks Paul and Peter many times during the movie when they hurt his parents. When Georgie has an accident and Peter tries to take him to a different room to change his pants, a scuffle breaks out and Georgie gets loose. He quietly makes his way to the house of the slain Thompsons before being found by Paul.

Answer: Tubby

Paul frequently calls Peter "Tubby", for what seems to be merely because he eats a lot, because he's not a heavy man. Many times when Paul calls him by that name and asks a question, Peter simply replies, "Don't call me tubby!"

Answer: Jenny

Jenny is never seen but is mentioned by Georgie many times. Georgie discovers her death when he sneaks to her house after he escapes from Paul and Peter.
