Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where does Bond attach the bungee cord to?

Answer: His feet

This is a very good opening scene to a new era of "Bond" movies. Bond jumps from the dam, and then cuts his way into the chemical weapons facility, using a watch laser. He then proceeds to drop into the bathroom.
You see him click the bungee onto one boot but when he falls it is clearly attached to both.
2. What are 006's (Alec Trevelyan) first English words, not a name?

Answer: Aren't we all

Sean Bean was cast as 006 after the producers saw him as the nemesis of Harrison Ford in "Patriot Games", and as the title character in the "Sharpe" movies. This particular quote occurs when Bond first exits the bathroom in the facility, during the opening sequence. He then goes into a supply room where he meets Trevelyan.
3. Who plays Defense Minister, Dmitri Mishkin?

Answer: Tcheky Karyo

Karyo also played the French soldier in "The Patriot", as well as the villain in "Bad Boys". Gottfried John was Ourumov, Michael Kitchen played Tanner, and Colin Salmon debuted as Charles Robinson...but not until "Tomorrow Never Dies."
4. What is the license plate on Bond's car during the "spirited ride" with Xenia?

Answer: BMT 214A

Yeah, you have to be pretty observant to have gotten this one. The license plate can be easily seen in at least 3 different instances while they are racing down the winding road, right after the opening title song.
5. What kind of champagne does Bond use to seduce the psychologist?

Answer: Bollinger

He takes out the bottle after his race with Xenia. At this point the psychologist lets down her guard with the sentence "James, you are incorrigible."
6. What is the number on the side of the La Fayette (the French ship with the Tiger helicopter on it)?

Answer: F710

You see this twice during the movie - once when Bond boards the ship, and once right after he is seen spying on Xenia, after she leaves the casino.
7. When Boris spikes the Americans, what is the first location that the spike pauses at? (Not the final location, just the first one.)

Answer: University of St. Petersburg

You've got to be quick to catch this one. It's one of the first scenes at the Severnaya complex. Natalya is looking over his shoulder while he spikes the American "slugheads". He explains the program as "now, the hunted becomes the hunter". This is the first time we hear his invincible catchphrase.
8. What rank was General Ourumov?

Answer: 1 star general

This is the most evident during the Archive scene, after he shoots Mishkin and devises a plan to frame Bond for the murder.
9. Finish this sentence by Trevelyan: "England is about to learn the cost of betrayal,__________________?"

Answer: inflation adjusted for 1945

This quote happens shortly before Trevelyan arms the Goldeneye satellite. He's saying it to Bond almost directly after Natalya is recaptured and brought back into the control room. The quote means that London will pay for its crimes in 1945, but based on a 1995 monetary standard.

It's just my opinion but Trevelyan has the best lines in the entire movie. I mean, how cool is this line? After they finished filming, Martin Campbell said that it was as if Sean Bean didn't need a director.
10. Who wrote the "Goldeneye" opening theme?

Answer: Bono

U2 all the way baby. It's clearly stated in the opening credits. Tina Turner sang the song, Eric Serra wrote it, and Sheryle Crow performed "Tomorrow Never Dies".
