Elizabeth is a doctor who is very dedicated to her job. She is injured very badly in a car accident, leaving her in a coma for the majority of the movie. Reese Witherspoon has also starred in "Pleasantville" with Tobey Maguire and "Walk the Line" with Joaquin Phoenix.
