In the beginning scene you see the beaten bride and someone wiping her face with a handkerchief. We know it's Bill because right before he shoots her, he asks her if she finds him sadistic. He shoots the Bride on the left side of her head.

Buck is a nurse at the hospital. Random gentlemen pay him to come have a good time with the comatose patients. When the Bride wakes up from her coma, she steals Buck's truck. It can be seen when she is leaving the hospital parking garage and when she reaches Vernita Green's house.

Vernita Green, played by Vivica A. Fox, is fixing her daughter, Nikki, played by Ambrosia Kelley, some cereal. The Bride is sitting at the counter having coffee. When Vernita thought the Bride wasn't paying attention, she shoots at her with a gun hidden in the box of cereal.

The Bride stabs Vernita and leaves her in the kitchen. However, when she turns to leave, she is startled by Nikki, who saw the killing. Then, she tells Nikki to come and find her if she wants revenge when she is older.

The Bride is using the restroom when she hears Sofie's cell phone ringtone. She then has a flashback of the ringtone to when she was beaten four years ago.

The Bride and Johnny Mo, played by Gordon Liu, are sword fighting on the balcony. The Bride swipes his leg with her sword and sends him flying off the balcony, landing in the indoor pool.

O-Ren tells the Bride that her "instrument was very impressive". The Bride tells her that Hattori Hanzo made the sword, but O-Ren doesn't believe her. She goes on to show O-Ren Hanzo's trademark on the sword.

She began to pull at Sofie's limbs and told her that everytime she didn't tell her what she wanted to know, she would cut something off. Sofie is seen rolling down the hill into the emergency room parking lot once the Bride is finished.

After the Bride questions Sofie, she rolls her down the hill to the hospital. Bill comes sometime later to visit Sofie, and asks her what the Bride had questioned her about. Bill asks her if the Bride knew her daughter was still alive. Sofie reveals that she had not told the Bride.
