1. Carl Denham and his crew happen upon mysterious ruins on Skull Island. Oddly enough, they also discover that there is no human presence whatsoever on the entire island.

Heck, you knew this one! The island, at least behind the very large walls of the ruins, is populated by some rather frightening-looking natives. They offer up Ann Darrow in a sacrificial ritual to Kong.

Answer: Yes

Carl Denham gets an eyeful of Kong. Feigning concern for Ann, Carl insists that a rescue attempt be made, but what he is really concerned about is getting some film footage of the giant simian.

Interestingly, the viewer doesn't get to view Kong until over an hour into the film!

Ann looks for a way to make some kind of connection with Kong, perhaps imagining that if she were to amuse him, he might not kill her. It seems to work. Kong is amused by her antics and even becomes a bit playful with Ann.

The crew become involved in a brontosaurus (aka apatosaurus) stampede before being trapped in a murky ravine with some of the most disgusting insects and giant tube worms ever depicted in film. Bruce Baxter is an interesting character. He abandons the search for Ann after encountering the first batch of dinosaurs, claiming that he is 'an actor with a gun who has lost his motivation'. Later, when all seems lost for Carl, Jack and the remaining crew in the insect pit, Baxter arrives with Captain Englehorn to save their comrades.

Kong's battle with the tyrannosaurs is possibly the most riveting action sequence in the film. While battling the tyrannosaurs, Kong, Ann and the three giant carnivorous dinosaurs fall into a deep valley crossed by a number of vines. Kong is finally able to defeat the tyrannosaurs, tearing the final beast's mouth open a la the original version of 'King Kong'.

Answer: Andy Serkis

You may recognize Andy Serkis's name from Peter Jackson's 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy. Serkis portrayed Gollum in those three films. In this film, Serkis is partially responsible for helping the CGI Kong come to life. Serkis also plays the ship's cook Lumpy in this film.

8. While Kong and Ann view the sunset, what one word does Ann use to describe the scene?

Ann uses this line several times during this scene, and uses it again when she shares a sunrise with her newfound friend Kong. The sunset and sunrise scenes are the key scenes in the film in terms of developing the emotional connection between the two characters.
