Answer: The Grey

Liam Neeson plays the part of a shooter named John Ottway in the 2011 film "The Grey". Ottway and seven other oil company workers experience a frightful plane crash that forces them to face the snowy weather of Alaska and a pack of hungry wolves. Most of Ottway's group ends up succumbing to the elements or the wolves and the film ends with Ottway trying to fight off the wolves.

In a classic guess the ending yourself conclusion, it is unclear whether Ottway survives the wolf attack. "The Grey" was directed by Joe Carnahan and one of its producers was Ridley Scott.
2. This film by the Coen Brothers involves a kidnapping and ransom in snowy North Dakota.

Answer: Fargo

"Fargo" was released in 1996 and it stars a Minneapolis car salesman named Jerry who is played by William H. Macy and a police chief named Marge who is played by Frances McDormand. In the film Jerry hires two criminals named Carl (Steve Buscemi) and Gaear (Peter Stormare) who kidnap his wife and bring her to Fargo. Along the way Carl and Gaear kill several people who get in the way of their heist. Eventually Carl and Gaear have a falling out, with one of them killing the other and Jerry gets arrested rather than getting some of the ransom money as he had intended. "Fargo" was met with critical acclaim with Frances McDormand winning an Academy Award for Best Actress and Joel and Ethan Coen winning an Academy Award for Writing Original Screenplay.

"Frozen" was released in 2013 as Disney's 53rd animated feature film and it told the story of Elsa and her sister Anna. Eventually the sisters mend their relationship and they save each other from evil forces. "Frozen" featured the voices of Kristen Bell as Anna and Idina Menzel as Elsa.

The 2015 film "The Revenant" was met with critical acclaim winning Academy Awards for Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Cinematography. The film is set in undeveloped territory near the Missouri River. A group of trappers, led by Hugh Glass, are confronted by a Native American tribe forcing him and his son to be separated from their group. John Fitzgerald, played by Tom Hardy, takes over leadership of the group and eventually betrays Glass prompting a conflict between the men.

"The Thing" was based on a 1938 novella by John W. Campbell titled "Who Goes There?". Over time the 'Thing' kills nearly everyone, making the entire group of researchers paranoid and forcing the remaining living out into the freezing Antarctic.

The events depicted in "Alive" focus on the Uruguayan rugby team's tragedy in October 1972. Of the 45 individuals who boarded the plane only 16 survived the entire ordeal.

Set in Antarctica in 1993, "Eight Below" tells the story of a guide and scientist who take a group of eight dogs to search for a unique meteorite.
