Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. 'My Dad? He's an evil Sith Lord bent on the destruction of all that is good. What does your Dad do?'

Answer: 'Empire Strikes Back'

'So I married a Sith Lord' isn't a real film. Or if it is, it hasn't been released in the UK.
2. 'Bluurgghh. Your mother eats pea soup in hell ....'

Answer: 'The Exorcist'

I've always found the Childcatcher out of 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' far scarier than 'The Exorcist'.
3. 'This is serious. He's been sent 500 years into the future, but his dress sense is 520 years out of date?'

Answer: 'Buck Rogers in the 25th Century'

The adventures of Buck and Wilma in the land of the shiny suits.
4. 'You've got small dreams. You want obscurity. Well obscurity costs, and right here's where you start paying.'

Answer: 'Fame'

Isn't it ironic that no-one from 'Fame' went on to become famous.
5. 'Would you like mustard with your boyfriend?'

Answer: 'The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover'

It's quite rare in films for someone to actually roast their boyfriend. Which is a good thing.
6. 'Do you like nails, Antoninus?'

Answer: 'Spartacus'

One of the greatest films of all time. The actual line ('Do you like snails?') forms part of a scene omitted from the initial release of the film (due to its suggestive content) but restored later. Antoninus (Tony Curtis) is actually one of the few male characters who isn't crucified.
7. 'Sorry Dick, which part of London did you say you were from?'

Answer: 'Mary Poppins'

Many American actors have done poor quality English accents (Gwyneth Paltrow's a notable exception) but Dick Van Dyke is the king.
8. 'Do you Hugh, take Divine ...'

Answer: 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'

Apparently Hugh Grant's popularity rocketed after his back seat incident with Divine Brown.
9. 'See, Ripley. I told you it wasn't indigestion.'

Answer: 'Alien'

I found out from a recent documentary where the inspiration for the 'Alien' design came from. I won't mention it here in case any players are under 18.
10. '(sung) In the town ... where I was born ... lived a ma-a-an ... who sailed the sea ... and he wrote ... a movie script ... under the influence ... of LSD ... 2, 3, 4 ...'

Answer: 'Yellow Submarine'
