1. When SHE took TO THE CELLS in search of a NAME, this young FBI agent ignited a flame.

Answer: The Silence of the Lambs

"The Silence of the Lambs" is a 1991 horror film, based on a novel by Thomas Harris. The film revolves around a young trainee FBI agent named Clarice Starling, (Jodie Foster), who is given the task of interviewing notorious and cannibalistic serial killer, Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins).

The goal is simple; Starling must try to get Lecter to provide the FBI with an insight into a new serial killer, nicknamed Buffalo Bill. However this is not easily achieved, for in order for Starling to get what she wants, she must be willing to make a trade with Lecter.

In order to get what is needed from his mind, she must supply him with tidbits about her past.
2. You can GRUNT and groan all you want, but running for your life from these three brothers will soon have you all WORN out.

Answer: Wrong Turn

"Wrong Turn" is a 2002 horror film directed by Rob Schmidt, starring Eliza Dushku (of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fame) and Desmond Harrington ("Ghost Ship", "The Hole" and "Riding in Cars With Boys"). Often criticised for its similarity to cult classics such as "The Hills Have Eyes" (1977) and "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" (1974), it revolves around a group of five youths who find themselves being hunted by three cannibalistic brothers.
3. Whether it's the original or the revamped version you want, an understandably COP SHY embezzler gets more than she bargained for in this particular joint.

Answer: Psycho

Directed by Alfred Hitchcock, "Psycho" is a 1960 horror film starring Janet Leigh and Anthony Perkins. Known for its now infamous shower scene, Hitchcock astounded his audience by killing off the biggest name in the film relatively early on. Thirty-six years later, Wes Craven also used this plot device to surprise audiences watching his 1996 teen slasher, "Scream". In order to make audiences believe that anything could happen, Hollywood starlet, Drew Barrymore, was killed off after only twelve minutes on screen.

Having stolen $40,000 from her employer, Marion Crane, (played by Janet Leigh), decides to start a new life in California, with her lover, Sam. However after settling in at the Bates Motel for the night, she falls victim to the murderous urges of Norman Bates, who has a bizarre obsession with his mother.
4. Beware of his motives, for he wishes you HARM. Only the WISEST has the tools to avoid succumbing to this monster's charm.

Answer: Wishmaster

The 1997 horror film, "Wishmaster", tells the story of a djinn, who wishes to secure the soul of the woman who freed him, thus releasing hell on earth. Having been trapped in a fire opal for hundreds of years, upon his release he immediately sets out to accomplish his mission, granting "wishes" along the way. However the djinn is not to be trusted, and only misery, pain and death awaits those who look to him to make their wishes come true.
5. CHART this OBJECT WITH PERIL film makers, for not everyone is convinced that you are a bunch of fakers.

Answer: The Blair Witch Project

Released in 1999, "The Blair Witch Project" is a low-budget horror film, presented as a documentary. Three film makers set out to uncover all there is to know about the mysterious legend of the Blair Witch. However the hunters soon become the hunted, as strange things start to happen around them. Lost and frightened, one of the group disappears, leaving the other two behind.

The remaining film makers' search for their friend leads them to an abandoned house in the woods, where events take a turn for the worst.

Here in the basement, cameras are dropped and screams are eventually silenced. No bodies are ever found, but one year later their footage is recovered.
6. It doesn't matter if you are an INFANT or an adult, cheating death IS NOT an IDEAL result.

Answer: Final Destination

"Final Destination" is a 2000 horror film, which follows the fate of a group of individuals who "cheat" death, following a premonition experienced by a teenager. As Alex Browning, (played by Devon Sawa), and his classmates prepare to take off for Paris on a school trip, Alex has a premonition of the plane exploding. Understandably panicked, he flees the plane, along with six others who also get caught up in the commotion. Moments later the plane explodes, killing everyone on board, and proving Alex right.

However the seven "survivors'" relief is short lived, as each one of them is picked off one by one, seemingly unable to truly escape death.
7. He never went out of his way to CHOOSE STRIFE, but once he became a receiver discord and distress became part of his life.

Answer: Stir of Echoes

"Stir of Echoes" is a 1999 horror film, starring Kevin Bacon and Kathryn Erbe. Having been hypnotised by his sister-in-law, Tom, (played by Kevin Bacon), finds himself able to communicate with the spirit world. He also discovers that his son, Jake, possesses the same gift. Soon enough, Tom finds himself plagued by the spirit of a teenager named Samantha, who vanished mysteriously many months ago. Vowing to solve the mystery of her disappearance once and for all, Tom finds himself in dangerous territory. For not everyone wants the truth to be revealed, and they are willing to kill in order to prevent it.
8. RISE and shine MY number one man, for you have made me your number one fan.

Answer: Misery

The 1990 horror film, "Misery", starring Kathy Bates and James Caan, is based on the Stephen King's novel of the same name. Ranked at number 12 on Bravo's "100 Scariest Movie Moments", "Misery" earned Kathy Bates a Best Actress Oscar.

When famed novelist, Paul Sheldon, (Caan), is injured in a blizzard, he is fortunate enough to be rescued by a former nurse, named Annie Wilkes, (played by Bates). However this is where his good fortune ends, as Wilkes professes to be his "number one fan", and a psychotic one at that. Outraged at the demise of her favourite character, Misery, Wilkes forces Sheldon to write another novel, in which her beloved heroine returns. Keeping Sheldon captive in her deserted home, her behaviour fluctuates, shifting between kind and caring, to manic, murderous and obsessive. If Sheldon is to survive, he must outmanoeuvre her, or die trying.
9. Listen to ME! Load up your CARS and flee, before this unwelcome caller starts his killing spree.

Answer: Scream

The 1996 horror film, "Scream", directed by Wes Craven, revolves around the character of Sidney Prescott, (played by Neve Campbell). On the anniversary of her mother's brutal murder, a vicious killer starts to terrorise her hometown, disguised in a cloak and a mask.

The film makes many references to other horror films, in terms of costume, plot, and dialogue. Craven himself actually appears in the film, as the janitor, Fred, who is dressed in an outfit which closely resembles that of Freddy Krueger's. Meanwhile, the early demise of Drew Barrymore's character, (Casey Becker), echoes the fate of Janet Leigh in Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho". Both Barrymore and Leigh were extremely famous when they appeared in their respective films, only to be killed off early on, thus shocking their audiences. Furthermore, at one point during the film, Randy, (played by Jamie Kennedy), refers to Billy as Leatherface, who is the main antagonist in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre".
10. THIS kid, like his car, could sure be a lot NICER and a lot less bizarre.

Answer: Christine

"Christine" is a 1983 horror film, directed by John Carpenter, which is also based on a Stephen King novel of the same name. Set in 1978, the film revolves around an unpopular teenager named Arnie Cunningham, (played by Keith Gordon), whose life changes dramatically when he buys a malevolent car, nicknamed Christine. As Arnie starts to restore Christine to her former glory, his personality starts to change, and not for the better. Worryingly, Christine seems to have a mind of her own, and is intent on dragging Arnie down with her, with devastating consequences.
