"Ordinary People" (1980) stars Donald Sutherland and Mary Tyler Moore as parents who have lost their son in a sailing accident. The movie shows the aftermath of the tradgedy and how it affects their other son. In this scene they are arguing about their surviving son.
"Ordinary People" (1980) won four Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director.

They have one disaster after another, including Withnail's Uncle Monty developing a crush on Marwood.
