He was able to finish high school and attend the University of Mississippi on a football scholarship before being drafted into the NFL by the Baltimore Ravens as a left tackle.

The movie contains cameos by several college football coaches including Houston Nutt, Ed Orgeron, Nick Saban, Lou Holtz and Phillip Farmer. Sandra Bullock won the Academy Award for Best Actress and the movie was nominated for Best Picture.

"Smokey and the Bandit" is about a bet that a truckload of Coors beer could not be delivered to Georgia in 28 hours. At the time, Coors was not available east of the Mississippi River due to it containing no preservatives and it was brewed only in Colorado.

The Bandit (played by Burt Reynolds) and his partner Snowman (played by Jerry Reed) pick up the beer in Texarkana and are soon being pursued by Texas sheriff Buford T Justice (played by Jackie Gleason)from Texas, through Mississippi, Alabama and into Georgia.

They make it back with ten minutes to spare and the police hot on their tail.

What would a list of films set in the south be without "Gone With the Wind"? Released in 1939 and based on the novel of the same name by Margaret Mitchell, it tells the story of Scarlet O'Hara and her life before, during and after the American Civil War.

The above mentioned line occurs at the end of the movie when Gable's character, Rhett Butler, decides that he has finally given up on his relationship with Leigh's character, Scarlet. In addition to wins in many other categories, it won an Academy Award for Hattie McDaniel as best supporting actress making her the first African American to win an Oscar.
