Question 1 of 10
1. Let me introduce you to a case involving a killer with a meticulous eye for detail - a thinking man of sorts. 2004 was the year he first made himself known, with elaborate and puzzling crime scenes, full of tricks and traps. I already know the name of this murderer, and although he is dead, sadly his legacy lives on. He was known for pitting individuals against each other, in the most horrifying ways. But can you identify him? You have all the pieces you need, so what is his name? Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. I'm told that this man, who was a child murderer before he died, first surfaced back in 1984, and managed to terrorise all and sundry for a good 19 years before vanishing completely. However, this lull proved to be short lived, as he reappeared in 2010, as depraved as ever. With his trademark red and green sweater and distinctive brown hat, he began a new reign of terror which must be stopped. Quiz-taker, I am stumped, and am in desperate need of your help. Who is he? Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. Now you'll need to tread carefully and keep your wits about you this time, for this next fellow is truly psychopathic, if his crime scenes are anything to go by. Forget the old adage, 'his bark is worse than his bite', because the opposite is true in this case. He was once a celebrated psychiatrist, but trust me, you would not like this fiend roaming around in your mind. He may enjoy the finer things in life, like expensive wines and classical music, but his table manners leave much to be desired. Though he has been known to pose his victims in dramatic and grotesque ways, if he really wants them gone, he has ways of polishing them off for good. Infuriatingly, I know everything about him, except his name. Who is he? Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. There is a distinct pattern to the murders involved in this next case, and a long line of my predecessors have failed to catch the culprit responsible for them. This can be partly explained by the snippets of description passed on by those who have caught a glimpse of this beast. You see, they describe the murderer as a monster, an 'it' totally unlike you and me. It seems to be beast-like, with wings and sharp teeth. Green skin covers its body, and it is remarkably choosy about its victims, which totally baffles me. It's also been known to use human clothing to disguise itself, and has been known to drive and fly. A grotesque piece of human artwork is also thought to have been created by this creature. Do you have any suggestions? Who or what can this be? Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. Like most serial killers, this next murderer has a very specific signature: his chainsaw. He also wears a butcher's apron, and hides his face with a mask made of human skin. Since his first appearance in 1974, he has slaughtered countless innocents, and is believed to have had help from others like him. Extreme caution must be exercised should you find yourself anywhere near this man! He is clearly supported by a family of sorts, whose cannibalistic instincts, (along with their carefully guarded anonymity), makes tracking this murderer an extremely dangerous task. Still, I have complete faith in your courage, quiz-taker. But you should still take your time, for you cannot afford to get this wrong. Who is this serial killer? Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. This next fiend is quite a slippery fellow, and is made all the more dangerous by his obsession with human weakness. In his time he has inflicted pain and terror on a diverse number of individuals, and has left each crime scene with its own warped moral. He first came to our attention in 1995, and we know he chooses his victims according to the sin he sees in them. So you had better quell your anger quiz-taker, because you need to be calm in order to take him down. But first we need a name! So who is he? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. Quiz-taker, I am extremely grateful for all of your help. Thanks to you, my caseload is shrinking quickly. However there is still plenty of work to do, which brings me to the next case, which is highly unusual in that the murderer is female. Indeed, hers is a sad story, of rape, murder and prostitution, but this does not excuse the culprit, who has not only murdered those who took advantage of her, but also one man who only wanted to help. Though we know she has spared at least one victim, the level of violence she inflicts on her victims appears to increase with every kill. She needs to be caught immediately, and I need you to tell me her name. Who is she? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. Our next killer seems to have taken inspiration from a Japanese murderer, and has been terrorising people since 2002. Everything we know about her is steeped in the supernatural, and those with information about her legend often die before they can pass it on. Her powers are complex and sinister, and I do believe that we are dealing with somebody whose physical body expired a long time ago. It's hard to process, I know, but this murderer is just a little girl, with the ability to project terrifying images into the minds of others. Rumour has it that she ensnares her victims with a cursed video tape, and once this has been viewed, the victim in question dies within seven short days. Just thinking about it makes me shiver, but who is she? Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. The next case file on my desk relates to another female murderer, whose telekinetic powers led to the death of numerous teenagers. Indeed this former Prom Queen seems to have used her unusual powers to exact revenge on her fellow pupils, after becoming the victim of a cruel prank, which left her covered in pig's blood. She seems to be quite the tortured soul, and is no doubt the product of a strict and abusive home life. Still, she cannot be allowed to harm anyone else, and we need to close in on her fast. I need to know her name, which is where you come in. Who is she? Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. This may indeed be our toughest case yet, as we are dealing with multiple offenders. Yes, these next creatures are quite a menace, as their only agenda is to reproduce and destroy that which they perceive to be a threat to their own survival. Sneaky and slick, they show no mercy whatsoever and have succeeded in killing a great number of people. Their signature is truly horrifying, for they implant their offspring within living hosts, who are then subjected to an excruciating death when the offspring tear their way out. So brace yourself quiz-taker, and tell me the name of this vile species. Hint

I already know the name of this murderer, and although he is dead, sadly his legacy lives on. He was known for pitting individuals against each other, in the most horrifying ways. But can you identify him? You have all the pieces you need, so what is his name?

Answer: John Kramer, (also known as Jigsaw), from the "Saw" film series

John Kramer, aka Jigsaw, is the main antagonist in the "Saw" film series, and the man responsible for orchestrating most of the deadly traps seen throughout the "Saw" films. Indeed, it was he who began the idea of designing complicated traps or trials for his victims, in an attempt to make them appreciate their lives.

As he was dying himself (from a brain tumour), he enlisted the help of several individuals throughout the course of the series in order to ensure the continuance of his legacy.
2. I'm told that this man, who was a child murderer before he died, first surfaced back in 1984, and managed to terrorise all and sundry for a good 19 years before vanishing completely. Answer: Hannibal Lecter from "The Silence of the Lambs"

The cannibalistic serial killer, Doctor Hannibal Lecter, has appeared in several films, including "The Silence of the Lambs" and "Hannibal". Although the character also appeared (with the spelling of his surname slightly altered) in the 1986 film, "Manhunter", it was not until 1991, when Anthony Hopkins took over the role of Lecter, that the character achieved iconic status.

Indeed Hopkins' portrayal of the ûber-intelligent serial killer earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor of 1991. This accomplishment is made all the more impressive by the fact that Hopkins only appeared on screen for around 23 minutes.

Throughout the two films the Creeper proved to be highly resourceful and extremely resilient, being able to withstanding various attacks from cars and even harpoons.
