The first scene of the movie, is the morning of Janey's birthday. Even though she is awake, lots of people come to give her birthday cake in bed, including Mr. Briggs (her father, who's an alcoholic), Mitch (her younger brother), her grandparents (her grandmother is carrying the cake), Father O'Flannagan and four of her special friends down from the center (one of them is holding balloons).

Answer: Him looking at the first picture

Jake, who is a rich, spoiled guy, has pictures of himself hanging at school. The first picture shows himself, then the next picture he looks at shows him looking at the first picture.

Answer: Janey

According to Austin, Hippie-Albino-Girl has a guitar so she is still hot. Even though Girl-With-Hunchback has got a little back, she could still be Prom Queen. Kara might be connected to Sara, but (according to Austin) those two make up one decent chick. With glasses, that ponytail and paint on her overalls, there's no way Janey could be Prom Queen, so Austin picks her.

Answer: T to the 4th power Y

Priscilla, who is a typical cheerleader, says "Jake, I need some T to the 4th power Y", and when Jake doesn't understand what she said, she continues "Some time to talk to you". She wants to dump him, because she has met Les, the non-ordinary guy with the flying bag.

Answer: Les

She met Les over Spring Break and "he's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen... and so is his bag". Les is the guy who says he's not ordinary. Les always carries a camera and has a white bag, with the words "The most beautiful bag I've ever seen" written on it, flying around him.

Answer: Austin and Malik

He bets with Austin that he can turn any girl into Prom Queen, and Malik bets him that he'll "lose that bet", but in doing so he'll "learn a much better lesson and win... in life that is". Unfortunately, for Jake, he loses both of them. Instead of Janey (or Priscilla, for that matter) winning Prom Queen, Kara and Sara win Prom Queen, and Jake loses his bet with Austin. Since Jake learns a valuable lesson in life from Janey, Jake loses his bet with Malik.

Answer: Amanda

Near the beginning of the movie, he sees Amanda and says "Amanda Becker. She's so perfect". At Preston's party, Mitch wants to give Amanda a letter, telling her that he loves her. At the prom he tells Bruce and Ox that "Amanda Becker is like a flower. You smell her, you touch her gently, you admire the beauty, you watch it blossom and you thank God, he created something so perfect".

Answer: Amanda

The musical number includes almost everyone - Jake, Janey, Mitch, Bruce, Ox, a guy working in a diner, Catherine, Priscilla, Mr. Briggs, Areola, Austin, Malik, Ricky and in the extended version Reggie Ray, Sadie and a nurse. Most have just one line to sing, except Jake and Janey. They all sing in different locations.
Jake sings on the beach and his bedroom, Janey is in her basement.

Catherine sings her bed, Priscilla in her bedroom, Mr. Briggs in his kitchen and Areola on her balcony. Austin and Malik sing somewhere outside.

Priscilla thinks she's going to win. Then the principal announces that it's a tie and she looks at Janey in disgust. Kara and Sara are announced as the winners. Jake is voted Prom King.

At Preston's party, at the football game, Slow-Clap guy always picks the wrong times to start a slow clap. When he finally finds the right moment to start a slow clap, Ricky beats him to it. I don't think Slow-Clap guy likes that so he beats up Ricky.
