1. What was Cornelius' flying machine called?

Answer: Flapper Wing-a-ma-thing

There were two of these made. The first one, a small-scale model, was broken when a book knocked it out of Edgar's hands and squashed it. The second one, the full-size one, collided with a tree.

2. What are 'Yellow Dragons'?

Answer: Construction machinery

They first hear about the 'yellow dragons' from the birds, and are 'attacked' by them very soon after they wander into the construction site.

3. What does Edgar forget to do before he leaves home?

Answer: Kiss his mother

He finally gets to kiss his mum at the end when they make it back home from their journey.

4. What two plants do the furlings have to get to save Michelle?

Answer: Lungwort and Eyebright

It was lungwort, to fix her lungs, and eyebright to fix her eyes (go figure...). The willow helps to cure Rheumatism, and the Acorn was what the mice and the squirrels were fighting over.

Answer: Bosworth

The birds had given up on him so much that they were having a funeral for him... before he was dead. The furlings saved him though, with a lever made from a branch and some string.

The owl grabbed Abigail and took her up to its nest in the hollow tree, but she saved herself by using the magnifying glass to scare it.

7. Who does Abigail live with?

Answer: Her dad

Abigail lives with just her dad. Russell lives with a big family with brothers and sisters, Edgar lives with his mum, and Michelle lives with her mum and dad until they are killed by the gas, then she goes to live with her Uncle Cornelius.

8. What does Russell's mum accidently call him at breakfast?

Answer: Roland

Not surprising when there are that many kids in the family!

9. Who managed to get the Lungwort?

Answer: Edgar

Abigail was supposed to get it while Russell was driving, but she fell and the lungwort was ripped out of the rock by the wing of the flying machine, and they thought they'd lost it. But Edgar realised that it was caught in the wing and got it.

10. In what order did these events happen?

Answer: Poison gas - Owl - Bosworth - Yellow dragons - Flying machine

Michelle was affected by the poison gas and they had to find the antidote. That night they were attacked by the owl, and the next day they met the birds, which warned them about the yellow dragons. The dragons 'chased' them into the sewers, which led to the meadow, where they built the flying machine to get the lungwort.
