"Bodyguard" was released in 1948 and also stars Lawrence Tierney. It is the story of a detective tossed off the police force, for insubordination. He takes a job as a bodyguard for the owner of a meat-packing plant, who has had threats made against her.

As he investigates the murder of an inspector at the plant, he is framed for the murder of his former supervisor on the police force and must clear his name. Priscilla Lane plays his girlfriend.
Priscilla Lane retired from films to be a wife and mother.

She died in 1995 at the age of 80.
