Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Prior to the court of inquiry hearing, we learn that Ripley had a daughter. She died at the age of 66. What was her full name?

Answer: Amanda Ripley McClaren

When handed a photo of her deceased daughter, Ripley tells Burke that, "I promised to be home for her eleventh birthday." This was a promise Ripley couldn't keep, as she was stranded in hyper-sleep for the past 57 years.
2. During the inquiry we learn that Ripley's former ship, the Nostromo, was what class of transport carrier?

Answer: None of these

The Nostromo was not classified as a transport carrier. It was considered an M Class star freighter.
3. After the court of inquiry hearing, Ripley learns that the planet, LV-426, is home to between 60 and 70 families. What does Van Leuwen refer to these people as?

Answer: terra-formers

It's these terra-formers, or planet engineers, who set up the atmosphere processing plants, in order to make the air breathable for colonization.
4. In order to keep busy after her pilot's license is suspended, Ripley works the cargo docks. What kinds of equipment does she run?

Answer: loaders and forklifts

The loader, of course, is highly effective in the movie's pivotal combat scene between Ripley and the Alien Queen.
5. In order to operate equipment housed in the cargo bay, a license is required. What class rating does Ripley hold?

Answer: Class Two

Ripley, wanting to assist Apone and Hicks, states, "I can drive that loader. I have a Class Two rating."
6. All marines are equipped with cameras, whose images are relayed to video screens in the APC. The bottom right of the screen displays the name of the marine transmitting the images. What does the bottom left of the screen display?

Answer: Mission Time

7. After entering the hive, Dietrich picks at the wall and comments, "Looks like some sort of secreted resin". What is Hudson's reply to this statement?

Answer: None of the answers is correct

Hudson doesn't respond to Dietrich's query. It is Hicks who replies, "Yeah, but secreted from what?" Apone then shouts, "Nobody touch nothing".
8. To destroy the aliens, Vasquez suggests doing what?

Answer: Nerve gassing the nest

Ripley's suggestion is that they take off and nuke the complex once in orbit. Prior to that Vasquez states, "We've got seven canisters of CN-20. I say we roll them in there and nerve gas the whole nest".
9. Sensing that Burke has double-crossed her, Ripley checks the colony logs. Confronting him with her proof, she blames him for the deaths of one hundred and fifty-seven colonists. How is the colony log directive dated?

Answer: 6 - 12 - 79 signed Burke, Carter J.

The date used on the directive is supposedly the opening date for the theatrical release of Ridley Scott's "Alien".
10. Stranded on the disintegrating platform, Ripley holds Newt as the Alien Queen steps out of the elevator. What does Ripley say to Newt as the alien advances toward them?

Answer: "Close your eyes baby"

Fortunately Newt doesn't listen to Ripley. With her eyes open, she spots the drop ship ascending behind them. With Bishop piloting the craft, they depart the planet, LV-426, moments before it explodes.
