Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Bob Lee (Mark Wahlberg) is a retired military sniper who is coerced into acting as a consultant for a group purportedly acting to protect the president from an assassination attempt. What is Bob Lee's last name?

Answer: Swagger

Bob Lee Swagger is described as someone with a history of duty and patriotism. His last assignment in the military has left him with some disparagement for the government, as he was deemed expendable. He retired a week after this assignment.
2. Colonel Isaac Johnson (Danny Glover) wants to recruit Bob Lee to plan a presidential assassination. What does Colonel Johnson hand to Bob that buys five minutes of Bob's time?

Answer: Congressional Medal of Honor

Bob Lee is living as a recluse and is reluctant to even speak to the Colonel. However, the Colonel shows Bob his Congressional Medal of Honor which he had earned by saving the lives of some fellow soldiers. Bob's father had also earned the Medal of Honor, so he agrees to listen to the Colonel's offer.
3. Which of the following cities is not one in which the president is scheduled to have a public speaking engagement?

Answer: Boston

The Colonel says that he has intercepted a coded transmission that says there will be an attempt on the life of the President that will take place in the next two weeks. Colonel Johnson wants Bob Lee to plan an execution so that they can purportedly avert the assassination. It's vital that Bob Lee be seen researching in these three cities in order to implicate Bob as the shooter.
4. The President is delivering a speech and presenting an award. Shots have been fired. Who is the victim?

Answer: Archbishop of Ethiopia

As the president is delivering his speech, a shot rings out and the Archbishop of Ethiopia, Desmond Mutumbo, is killed. The President is presenting the Archbishop with the Philadelphia Brotherhood Award when the assassin strikes.
5. The conspiracy is set in motion, but the scapegoat must be eliminated. Who shoots Bob Lee?

Answer: Officer Timmons

The details of a conspiracy begin to unfold as Bob Lee is shot by a seven year veteran of the Philadelphia police force. Officer Timmons bungles the shooting and Bob Lee escapes. The conspirators later eliminate Officer Timmons in an effort to cover their trail.
6. Bob Lee is on the run and desperately sought after by the law. With whom does he seek refuge?

Answer: Sarah Fenn

Bob Lee has been shot twice and while his military training affords him some time, he still requires medical assistance. He goes to the home of Sarah Fenn, his deceased partner's widow. Having had some nursing education, Sarah helps Bob with the wounds and becomes his partner in seeking answers.
7. What is the name of the FBI agent who assists Bob Lee?

Answer: Nick Memphis

During Bob Lee's escape, he encounters rookie FBI agent, Nick Memphis. Bob Lee overpowers Nick and takes his car. Even so, Nick has questions about the circumstances surrounding the shooting and conducts his own investigation. He turns up too much information and becomes a target of the underground agents.
8. What is the name of Bob Lee's dog?

Answer: Sam

In an effort to punish and perhaps bring him out into the open, the conspirators kill Bob Lee's dog. Sarah tells Bob Lee, "Ralphie's dead." Bob Lee wants to know who Ralphie is and Sarah tells him that it was made to look as though Bob Lee had shot his dog, since he was not coming back to the cabin.
9. Who says, "Once you've been a wolf, it's hard to be staked down like a goat?"

Answer: Mikhaylo Sczerbiak

Mikhaylo is the real shooter. He confesses to Bob Lee that he had been recruited by the CIA to carry out the assassination. Mikhaylo describes the massacre of the village in Ethiopia for which Bob Lee was providing protection. The object of the entire conspiracy becomes clear at this point.
10. Is Bob Lee exonerated from the crime of the assassination?

Answer: Yes

Bob Lee demonstrates that he could not have fired the shot that killed the Archbishop. Bob Lee swaps the firing pins from all of his weapons thereby negating the possibility that he could have fired the shot. Colonel Johnson congratulates Bob Lee on his presentation and gloats that he cannot be held responsible for crimes committed on another continent.

In the end, Bob Lee eliminates the senator, Colonel Johnson and those closely associated with the conspiracy. Bob Lee wins!
