Answer: Armageddon

In 1998's "Armageddon", a team of oil drillers is asked by the US government and NASA to fly into space to drill into an asteroid and destroy it before it destroys Earth. Ben Affleck plays A.J. Frost, one of the oil drillers, who is in love with his boss' daughter, Grace, played by Liv Tyler.

In an act of heroism, Grace's father Harry (Bruce Willis), chooses to stay behind on the asteroid to blow it (and himself) up, after the mission goes wrong, so that A.J. doesn't have to stay behind and do it. Before the rest of the crew leaves, Harry tells A.J. he has his blessing to marry Grace.

Answer: Sweet Home Alabama

Reese Witherspoon plays Melanie Smooter (a.k.a. Melanie Carmichael) in "Sweet Home Alabama"(2002). Her character is a fashion designer living in New York City, who has left her small-town past way behind her. She becomes engaged to a wealthy man in New York (played by Patrick Dempsey), but has to go back to Alabama to obtain a divorce from her husband (played by Josh Lucas).

Her husband won't sign the divorce papers right away, and while in Alabama, Melanie realizes she still loves her ex, and always has since she was a small girl, and she stays with him.

Answer: Ocean's Eleven

In "Ocean's Eleven"(2001), upon his release from jail, Danny Ocean (played by George Clooney) immediately assembles a team of expert criminals to pull off a huge heist - robbing three of Terry Benedict's (Andy Garcia) casinos in one night. Ocean's team later learns that Danny has a personal vendetta against Benedict - Benedict is dating Danny's ex-wife Tess (Julia Roberts).

In the midst of the robbery, Danny proves to Tess that Benedict cares more about his money than about her, and at the end of the film, she goes back to Danny.

Elizabeth Hurley plays Vanessa, Austin Powers' (Mike Myers) sidekick in "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery"(1997), the first film of the trilogy. They become a couple in the film, and the beginning of the second movie, "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me"(1999), picks up the story with Austin and Vanessa on their honeymoon. Austin realizes Vanessa is actually one of Dr. Evil's "fembots" (robots disguised as gorgeous women), when Vanessa attempts to kill him.

Answer: Billy Madison

Adam Sandler stars as Billy in the 1995 movie "Billy Madison". In order to take over his father's business, Billy has to prove himself responsible enough, and goes back to school to finish every grade again in two weeks each. Bridgette Wilson plays Veronica Vaughn, Billy's hot third grade teacher.

She finds him to be an incredible annoyance at first, but gradually learns that he is a sweet guy, and she falls for him. She helps him finish school and win his father's company over his competitor, Eric (Bradley Whitford).

Answer: Transformers

Shia LaBeouf stars in "Transformers"(2007) as Sam Witwicky, a teenager who unknowingly buys a Camaro that is actually Bumblebee, one of the Autobots team of Transformers. Bumblebee helps Sam to approach and talk to Michaela (Megan Fox), a girl from his school whom he likes. Sam and Michaela then get involved in the fight between the Autobots and the Decepticons, and while going through that together, they become a couple.

They continue their relationship, and the fight against the Decepticons, in 2009's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen".

Answer: Pirates of the Caribbean

In the first film of the series, "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl"(2003), Orlando Bloom plays Will Turner, a blacksmith who is in love with Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), the governor's daughter. She, unfortunately, is to be married to Commodore Norrington (Jack Davenport).

After the cursed pirates raid Port Royal and kidnap Elizabeth, Will recruits the notorious pirate Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), at the time housed in the Port Royal jail, to help him track down the pirates and save Elizabeth. Since Jack also wants to find the Black Pearl, he agrees to help. During the course of the movie, we see that Elizabeth has a bit of a crush on Will as well, and by the end of the first movie, is in love with him.

They are supposed to get married in the second film, "Dead Man's Chest"(2006), but their wedding gets interrupted.

They finally get married in the middle of a pirate battle in the third movie, "At World's End"(2007).

Answer: Knocked Up

In "Knocked Up"(2007), Katherine Heigl plays Alison, a woman who goes out to a bar to celebrate her new promotion. She hooks up with Ben (Seth Rogen), but since she has nothing in common with him, she is glad to let it be just a one night stand. When she finds out she is pregnant, she contacts Ben and they try to build a relationship for the sake of the baby. Alison gets fed up with Ben, though, due in part to his drug habit, his lack of employment and what she views as his lack of commitment to her and their baby, and they break up.

They get back together after Alison goes into labour when she is alone and Ben really comes through for her in getting her to the hospital, finding a doctor and helping her through the delivery.

Answer: The Other Boleyn Girl

In this scenario, the Girl is Anne Boleyn (played by Natalie Portman) and the Boy is Henry VIII (played by Eric Bana). In the 2008 movie, Henry VIII is married to Catherine of Aragon (Ana Torrent), but has some mistresses on the side, including Anne's sister Mary (Scarlett Johansson) - "the other Boleyn girl".

Henry stops seeing Mary when Anne catches his eye, and he creates loopholes in the law and sets aside Catholicism in order to secure a divorce from Catherine. Henry gets his wish, and Anne becomes his wife, but she falls from his favour when she fails to produce any sons (or any healthy babies after the first daughter), and Henry VIII has his great love beheaded.

Answer: Beauty and the Beast

In this 1991 Disney animated feature, Belle's father is taken prisoner by the Beast in his Enchanted Castle. Belle offers to let the Beast keep her instead, in exchange for her father's release, and Beast agrees. Belle grow to like her captor, when she realizes that he is not as tough and ferocious as he seems. Belle later defends the Beast and the Castle against an attack by the townspeople, and the spell that had changed a young prince into a Beast is broken when Belle falls in love with him. The line "tale as old as time" comes from the song "Beauty and the Beast" from the movie.

It is sung by Mrs. Potts (Angela Lansbury) in the movie while Belle and Beast dance, and was recorded for the movie soundtrack by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson.
