Although Cook County Hospital is where Richard does research for the one-armed man, pretends to be a janitor, and saves the life of a boy, he worked at Chicago Memorial. This fact becomes clear when he goes for the liver samples. The fact that Richard goes back to the hospital where he worked with the risk that he would be caught by the marshalls, is interesting and exciting to the audience and confusing to the marshalls until they figure out that there is a lot more to Richard Kimble than an escaped felon.

Answer: "I'll wait up for you."

These words are haunting for Richard. He thinks about her saying that over and over.
