The Man in Black climbed up the cliffs of insanity with a rope that Fezzik, Inigo, and Vizzini were climbing up. Vizzini did not want the Man in Black to follow him, so he cut the rope when he got to the top. The Man in Black survived!

3. How did Buttercup meet Westley?

Answer: Westley was Buttercup's farmhand

Westley always got things for Buttercup and helped her. When she asked for things, he said, "As you wish."

4. Who was the Dread Pirate Roberts?

Answer: Westley

Westley was the Dread Pirate Roberts. He offered the position to Inigo when he didn't know what to do with his life after he killed the six-fingered man. Inigo never told Westley if he wanted the job in the movie, but he most likely did afterwards.
