Sinise was bumped because of the possibility that he might get the measles. The other three choices all made the trip. This is a fine movie, based on fact and well-done by director Ron Howard.

Answer: Glenn Ford

Spencer Tracy (as the Clarence Darrow character) and Fredric March (as the William Jennings Bryan character)dominate the story, with Gene Kelly (as the H.L. Mencken character) in the wings. This is a fine story of evolution versus creationism. Morgan plays the judge, york plays the teacher who is put on trial, Akins plays the minister father of York's girl friend. Nice job by director Stanley Kramer.
