The Ultimate "Lethal Weapon" Trivia Quiz

A quiz on the first of arguably the best series of films in the buddy cop genre starring Danny Glover and Mel Gibson as Murtaugh and Riggs. I enjoyed compiling this quiz and if it is well received, I hope to do one each for the other three.

It was considered a suicide due to drugs but later we find out that she had been poisoned and would have died anyway.

Answer: 50

We first see Roger in the bath as his family comes in with a birthday cake.

3. We later learn that Michael Hunsaker, the father of the girl who fell to her death, was a friend of Roger Murtaugh's. Where did they know each other from?

Answer: They were in Vietnam together

Roger received a phone call from Michael Hunsaker early in the movie and that's when he tells his wife where he knew him from and that he had not heard from him in 12 years. The reason he called is not revealed until later in the movie.

He did the deal with three men but when the bust went down there was another hiding amongst the trees.

They actually asked for a hundred and Riggs started to count out one hundred dollars. This scene showed an unbalanced side to his character as when one of the dealers had a gun to his head he was begging him to shoot.

Her full name was Victoria Lynn. It was believed that she died in a car accident after Riggs should have met her for a dinner appointment but never turned up. It is revealed in "Lethal Weapon 2" that she was actually murdered. I won't say by who. That will be a question for the next quiz.

Answer: 11 years

We know this because it is mentioned in a conversation between the chief and the psychologist in the police station.

Rianne and Carrie are his daughters. Victoria was Rigg's deceased wife. Trish was his wife and her cooking was awful. There are some funny moments between Murtaugh and Riggs when discussing her culinary expertise.

Roger tells Martin in the car after the very funny scene with the suicide jumper of the building. "20 years and not a scratch" he says.

Gary Busey is totally convincing as an ex-mercenary hard man. The scene in which a cigarette lighter is held under his arm is enough to make anyone wince.

Throughout most of the movie he is referred to as just 'The General.' Martin mentions that he ran into General Peter McCallister, who was the Commander of Shadow Company, in Saigon, in '69.

They were all ex-CIA. He got them together to be his muscle while he sold heroin.

Martin, assumed dead, follows Roger hoping to kill the General and free Rianne. Although Roger is shot it does not hinder him much.
