Ivy Walker plays a critical role in this movie - after Lucuis is attacked she goes into the towns to get medicine, to heal his wounds. Bryce Dallas Howard, the daughter of director/actor Ron Howard debuts in film with the role of Ivy. Bryce is a great young actress and I hope to see more out of her in the future.

Kitty is seeking her father's approval for a relationship with Lucius. Her father insists that she talk to Lucius before telling anyone else about her love! I found the scene when Kitty tells Lucius hilarious - Jaoquin's deadpan facial expressions had me rolling on the floor.

Although he says nothing in this scene the look on his face, as Kitty rambles about her love for him, is priceless.

Answer: No

Lucius was indeed in love with another, and poor Kitty cried all night about Lucius turning her down. Kitty Walker is portrayed by Judy Greer, who is also in "Jawbreaker".

Answer: he no longer touches her

Ivy tells him that "we no longer do the things that we really want to do, for fear that other people will know that we want to do them". She tells him that when she was younger he would often take her arm as she walked, but as she got older he stopped touching her. She claims to have even tripped, on purpose, in front of him and he still didn't reach out to her.

Answer: Mr. Walker

He believes that Mr. Walker loves his mother because he will not touch her, which is the same reason Ivy gives for believing that Lucius loves her. Mr. Walker is played by William Hurt, who has starred in numerous movies, including "Lost In Space", "The Doctor", and "Tuck Everlasting".

Answer: Harm coming to Ivy

Lucius has asked the elders twice to be able to go into towns to get new medicines, and he also holds the record for the boyhood challenge of standing on the stump. When sitting on the porch with Ivy, he specifically says that he feels fear when he thinks about harm coming to her. I found it a very romantic scene between Lucius and Ivy on the porch, when he really declares his love for her.

In my opinion Joaquin and Bryce play their parts wonderfully throughout the entire movie.

Answer: blind

Ivy had an illness, as a child, that claimed her eyesight. She states she can 'see' colors for some people, including her father and Lucius. She always teases Lucius that she will not tell him his color.

Answer: Noah

This was the best scene in the entire movie, in my opinion. The camera angles and acting left me mesmerized. You don't really realize what happened until it is too late, and then you are left in shock. Shyamalan's use of no dialogue or music was fantastic!
Noah is played by Adrian Brody, who was the youngest man to ever win the best actor Oscar for his role in "The Pianist".

Answer: elders

They are the elders of the town dresssed up in a costume of monsters to keep people from leaving the town through the woods. Noah is also dressed as a monster at the end of the film, but it is the elders who created them. Personally I thought that they looked like gigantic porcupines.
