 He played Magneto and the Butler. I can't remember the Butler's name, if he had one.

Answer: Richard E Grant

 He played the eponymous Jack, and either the eponymous Withnail or the eponymous I (I can't remember which).
3. Who appeared in both 'Withnail and I' and 'Alien 3'?

 He played 'Withnail' or 'I' (whichever one wasn't Richard E Grant) and played a prisoner in 'Alien 3'. I would imagine he was killed horribly - most of them were.
