The 2000 movie "What Women Want" stars Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt. Mel plays advertising agent Nick Marshall who, by a freak electrical accident, suddenly gets the gift of being able to hear what all women are thinking. He uses his gift to steal the ideas of his boss Darcy Maguire (Helen Hunt) in order to take over her job.

The job that he felt should have been given to him. While Nick is using his trickery throughout the movie, he falls in love with Darcy. His conscience gets the better of him at the end of the movie and he ends up telling Darcy that he stole her advertising ideas.

Amity is actually the unofficial nick-name of Martha's Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts.

Solomon is held in slavery for twelve years before he manages to get a letter to northern authorities enabling his release and return to his family in New York.

In the later half of the movie, Ron becomes an anti-war and human rights activist after he feels he has been let down and betrayed by his own country.

The 1951 movie "The African Queen" stars Humphrey Bogart (Charlie Allnut), and Katharine Hepburn (Rose Sayer). Charlie is a heavy drinking boat captain of a small tramp steamer named the "African Queen" who gets talked into attacking an enemy German warship by Rose Sayer, a missionary, after she sees her mission village burned and destroyed by the Germans.

The movie was re-made in 2012 starring Colin Farrell with a few different twists.

In 2008 the movie was remade with updated special effects, a slightly different story line about humans destroying their own planet, and stars Keanu Reeves as Klaatu.
